While there are quite a few riders yet to sign for 2025, so far there has only been one new rider come in and one existing rider leave. Rumor mill currently has at most 2 riders coming in, that being Toprak and a replacement for Naka

I suspect the main hold up in silly season is working out the assignment of satellite Ducati's
Assuming Franco gets one of them, they're all occupied. If he doesn't I would've loved to see Mir on a year-old Ducati but as we know that won't happen.
Oliveira and Rins are the two others I'd love to see. These two are the most underrated riders in MotoGP imo. It's easily forgotten that Miguel is a five-time race winner and Rins won two of the last three races for Suzuki and won a race on the f***ing 2023 Honda.

I agree about Rins and Oliveira. Both seem to have their peaks and troughs rather than be consistent runners, but if both lose their rides, I would love to see them teamed up at Pramac Yamaha. I think both would be excellent development riders for Yamaha with their multi manufacturer experience.

Title is click-bait, but gist is Zarco thought MM would gel and win on the Ducati faster than has been the case.

Not sure if I agree with that or not, I do think he probably wins if Le Mans if he doesn't have to ride from the back of the pack. But outside of that, I'm not so sure.

There's a part of me wondering if he's waiting till the Sachsenring to pull the pin.

Not too surprising, there were a couple of rounds where Bagnaina remarked to M. Marquez that he was riding the Ducati like a Honda. Part factual, part getting inside his head.

I’m sure that Marc, being the fast adapter he is, will figure out the GigiCycle2025 and Pecco, as understated as he is, relishes the challenge. 2025 should be an explosive season to behold.

I think it's amazing he could even ride that bike like the Honda and still be near the front of the pack since there's never been anything about that bike in recent years that resembles the Honda.

2025 will be fascinating. MM has never lost to a teammate so Pecco is probably going to be his greatest challenge in my opinion.

Can't wait for '25 but lets not look past this epic season. We have an angry points leader. The champion in second. With one of the best to ever do it in third. This season still has a lot of fireworks left.

I'd say the gist is that Zarco is trying to say as much as possible positives about himself, without actually saying it directly.

Is this clickbait or is it right that Ducati is thinking of breaking the Aldeguer contract to take Miller? That would be costly

Can’t see them passing on Aldeguer to keep Miller. That would be costly and rather silly and Ducati readily do one but not the other so they’ll find another solution.

Does that mean Alex is out at Gresini?
Unlikely imo. They will want continuity and give his brother is now a factory rider, I suspect he will stay.
I’d argue anyone who isn’t is either too young or too wrong.
A lot of my friends race karts, but all race 4 strokes (wet farts as I call them).

Me: So you're a karter too huh?
Them: Yep, I race in LO206 Briggs
Me: WRONG ANSWER.

Aside from endurance racing and 2020 when COVID was around, I've exclusively raced 2 strokes. I still have my first ever kart hanging on my wall, and race the kart I won my 1st race with in classic karting events. 100cc direct drive piston port that screams to 18,000rpm :)

My baby though, is my gearbox/shifter kart. 125cc Honda (profile pic).

I wonder how Marquez would have been on a GP22 or 24. The 23 is known that have hampered riders who are good on the brakes.

The only WC team mate he's had was Lorenzo, who was well on the downturn by 2019.

I agree, what are people seeing in Miller? It's not like his form has suddenly dipped. I didn't see him staying at KTM even without Acosta getting promoted.

Reading this again (this being the article), I know it's a given that VR46 will take Morbidelli back, but if Ducati are giving them 2 factory GP25's, will they not have a say in the rider lineup like they do at Pramac? I would think if Gresini take on Miller, that Ducati could say to VR46, "you get to GP25's on the condition that Aldeguer is on one of them"

This is the scenario I envision unfolding. VR46 has had previous interest in Aldeguer even though he’s not Italian; so it’s not a hard sell.

Also explains why there are rumors in the past days of Diggia talking to Pramac for the potential Yamaha seat.

I forgot about VR46 trying to get Aldeguer last yr, good point.

So.

VR46 Ducati:
Morbidelli
Aldeguer

Pramac Yamaha
Diggia
Miller?/Oliveira?/Rins?/TOPRAK?!

Well, there’s a new twist in the story now

If VR46 switches to Yamaha, it’s almost certainly a reaction to the M.Marquez situation IMO

Well, that is interesting.

Everyone knows I find it laughable that VR46 run Ducati's while Rossi is the brand ambassador for Yamaha. However, Rossi would really cut off his nose to spite his face wouldn't he? IF this is true, he and VR46 are only considering Yamaha because Marquez signed for Ducati.

Marc Marquez really does live rent free in Rossi's head.

**Synn - That isn't to take away Rossi's accomplishments, but his obsession with MM is not healthy**
