Well it was inevitable once Marc left.

A shame, probably the most iconic livery to me in motorsports outside of the Marlboro and John Player Special liveries.

On the flipside...I hope Honda goes back to their historic HRC colors from here on out.
I started watching GP racing when Doohan was in his pomp, so this is definitely the end of an era for me.

But yes, traditional HRC colors would be a worthy replacement. Hope they go down that route.

What a meaningless comment. Typical of that "journalist". If someone would know how to terminate a contract, it would be a lawyer. Most contracts do have clauses to allow you to do just that. Not without consequences, but still.....
I'm definitely not an expert but I did have to do a unit on contract law while I was at uni and the thing that really hit home was that contracts are far from breakable and there seems to always be a way to get out of them. Sometimes being sued for breach of contract is just the cost of business.

Contracts are nothing more than a multi (usually two) sided agreements on how to cooperate. Circumstances can change. You'll never step in the same river twice, and so forth.
There is a distinction between making an agreement in bad or good faith, and entering the former can be very expensive.
Being the owner of something gives you rights and obligations. Making the changes you want might be within the your area of competence.
Even if you ruin your company's reputation.

From what I've read so far, the most important test of the year is turning out to be a damp squib.

Ducati - No 25' bike just yet, only engine and chassis
Aprilia - No-one to test the new bike properly
Yamaha - Have done most of the testing already

Honda - Are testing a lot, in fact they are testing all the time
KTM - Same as above, with the exception that they aren't testing as often

Wow. Bombshell.
Yamaha IS working on a V4. Presumably for 2027, but I’m guessing they might want to roll it out in 2026 with the 1000cc displacement just to iron out the kinks (And consider the next few seasons purely developmental).

I did wonder if this was the REAL reason for contracting Luca Marmorini.
