I read the article some time ago, but I think that there was a mention that the MX project was higher priority than Moto3, and hence no Moto3 Ducati.Hope Ducati don't overstrech themselves.
They're now in the MX and eBike categories, plus in the Adventure marked.
I think this is one of the articles I read, but this one doesn't say no Moto3 because of MX. Ducati doesn't rule out a future Moto3 project

Nakagami talks about his role as test and wildcard rider next year. He feels that it's important for him to bridge the gap between the Japanese technical team and the European race team. “This is not Honda bike!” - Nakagami pinpoints 2022 MotoGP concept change: "After this we lose the way" He points out 2022 as the year that Honda lost the plot (not his words) a bit.
