It’s a sad theme really.
KTM ruthlessly invests in every sport they enter and eventually becomes successful, but they haven’t yet figured out that the biggest investment they need to make is in people, and I don’t just mean monetarily.
Agree. Aprilia appear to have a much better people focus and as a result do just as good as KTM on a lot smaller budget

And yet again, after another comment of 'he's turned a corner', he does nothing in the Autrian GP.

How this guy is rated as highly as he is, is beyond me. How many chances does he need?

DiGi wasnt even anything special in Moto2. Augosto hasnt shown anything either. Same with Luca Marini. But he is Rossis lil baby boy.

Casey Stoner says that Ducati will have an even larger advantage in 2027.

I was expecting that Ducati would maintain their advantage with the new rules. Stoner (who clearly knows infinitely more than me) is going even further.

Aldeguer needs to find that extra touch he had at the end of last year otherwise it doesn't look good for him entering big boys' class looking like an amateur in Moto2.

At least it's likely he will have a bike that will let him shine if he has the wherewithal to do so. It's not like he's going to Honda.
yeah but it always rubbed me the wrong way about him. If he doesn't have the pace - he doesn't have it at all and if he does - he can bolt away from the start and never be seen again. The raw talent is there but I feel he lacks some fundamentals to properly establish himself as one of the elites.

Looks like Brno is making a comeback next year. A bit unexpected.

This is interesting.
Aldeguer will be with Gresini for the next 2 years. His manager also said he’s guaranteed to have a current year bike in 2026.

Does that mean VR46 will lose their current year Ducati in 2026, or will Ducati go back to 4 factory bikes in 2026?
He will be at Gresini for 2 years? Is he a ducati signed rider or Gresini? If he is a ducati rider and that really is in his contract than he needs to have a great season or face the possibility of being sacked over being given a 2026 bike.

He’s Ducati signed and as you said, I’m assuming there are performance clauses in that contract for Year 2.

Thats what I figured. He seems to have put himself in a ...... situation. First off if VR46 is the official team I can't see them giving one to Gresini. Seems like this could be a power move for Gresini that will really upset the dude ranch. Also I cannot see ducati putting out 4 factory bikes in '26 if they aren't going to in '25. 2026 being the last year of the current bike rules makes it less desirable to have 4 in '26. Whats the point in the extra r&d if the bikes won't be used the following season?

Or maybe Ducati want to end this formula with a swarm of red machines that break the championship points table even further?

5 year deal confirmed,
That's a shock but a welcome one.

I had no idea suits could make such a big difference in speeds.

Neither did I. It seems that as technology progresses in MotoGP, more and more parts of the equation need to be optimised to be competitive.

More on suits and their importance here: MotoGP Suits Guide: Style and Functionality on the Track

In addition to safety, MotoGP suits contribute significantly to riders’ performance. Lightweight, breathable materials help maintain optimal body temperature, reducing fatigue during racing. Fit is also crucial; a well-fitting uniform reduces drag, allowing riders to reach higher speeds with greater efficiency.
