It was Boscoscuro, he pitched it to KTM for a tie up; but they declined so nothing much has happened since then.

He should pitch it to Yamaha to see what happens, IMO.

The one I was thinking of was the much earlier Brough Superior Moto2 bike, made by Taylormade. I didn't remember that. I googled until I found what I had been thinking of.

I'm sure that there was another early Moto2 design that never raced, that had alternate front suspension. But, my memory of what I saw doesn't match up with the Motoino TS3.

Thanks for clarifying, the first looks vaguely familiar, but I must admit I have no recollection of the second.

I have a memory of a double swingarm Moto2 bike. But, I can't find it. My memory is not very good so no guarantee that the bike actually existed.

Didn't Jeremy McWilliams use that one for a wildcard start once?
He was 49 at the time at set a modern-era age record IIRC.

I didn't know that. I thought it had never raced.

Here's a report on that. Moto2: McWilliams reviews day one on Brough Superior

EDIT: Wait a second. I have Motogp.com's videopass. I can watch this race. Oh, there he is...

And, here he is just in front of Mika Kallio and Tito Rabat. Well, being lapped of course :)

Mat Mladin made an interesting comment about Miller potentially going to Yamaha
The comment read “Miller is hopeless, give the ride to someone that deserves it” something like that. That one took a lot of thought
👏
. My reply was “Excellent comment, name one and why”? I won't say any more about that but will ask you guys to think about it and honestly tell me of any riders that are “available” next year that could get on that Yamaha for the next two years and give them as much feedback that Jack could give to go towards Yamaha trying to close the gap to Ducati? Imagine putting a young kid on that Yamaha right now? It would destroy him.

And yet again, after another comment of 'he's turned a corner', he does nothing in the Autrian GP.

How this guy is rated as highly as he is, is beyond me. How many chances does he need?
On Raul's defense, this is the second race he is using the 2024 bike (actually the 1st since silverstone is a dnf). But yes, if he doesnt improve in the next few races probably he will be kicked out of Aprilia after 2025.

The bike with the floating front end was posted to this forum years ago. Possibly even by me.

Well, if you look at his season so far, there are reasons to be optimistic.
He is pitted against a very good rider, in Oliveira. He has had last years bike uptil he started to crash recently.

Before that he was:
- Faster than his teammate in the Qatar quali
- Almost identical time in the Portimão quali
- Faster in the race and quali in COTA
- Beaten in Aragón
- Best quali for Trackhouse uptil that point in Barcelona, and and impressive race well ahead of Oliveira
- Ahead in Mugello
- Only Trackhouse in Q2 in Assen, well ahead in the race
- Front row in Sachsen
- Identical quali in Silverstone

I can see why he is highly rated. He has already almost equaled his points from last season. He is as fast as his vastly more experienced, multi race winner, teammate. If he continues this trend, he'll be looking at factory bike contracts in '27.
