They’re training buddies in Andorra and Arbolino was previously trained by Lorenzo Sr, so there’s some connection to Yamaha.

He’s not doing all that well with the Pirellis right now but Quartararo wasn’t setting the world on fire in Moto2 either (Apart from the two victories - One taken away due to a technical DQ- that he scored just in time to get the promotion), but that worked out ok; so who am I to judge?

Yeah, Aldeguer isn't setting the world on fire from what I hear either, is he?

I tend to be sceptical at Moto2 being a strong indicator for success in GP. Many riders who have not lit up the lower classes have been world champions in MotoGP (Stoner and Quartararo being the two examples that come to mind), whereas the ratio of Moto2 World Champs who have become MotoGP world champs seems low. Augusto Fernandez, Remy Gardner, Bastiannini, A Marquez, Morbidelli, Zarco, Espargaro.

Of the 14 yrs of Moto 2 champs, only 2 have become MotoGP champs.
