A fresh track with uncertain weather conditions, likely a wet session or two. This could play well for KTM and of course Marc
It would be interesting to see a race that starts dry, but where there is a sudden downpour. Then all four KTMs stay out on slicks instead of changing to wets.
Well I am a few hours northwest of PI. .... weather. .... in SA northwest of here too. Good ol Victorian weatherIt would be interesting to see a race that starts dry, but where there is a sudden downpour. Then all four KTMs stay out on slicks instead of changing to wets.
After what we saw from Miller's KTM, it appears that chattering is the new black.Wow the chattering on Fab's Yam rear on corner entry. Wtf!
The new surface has been reported as abrasive so that will suit the riders that are good at saving their tyres so I'm predicting the usuals Martin, Bagnaia and M Marquez. Add to that Bastainini if he gets thru Q1. Early on there will be other riders there until they use their tyres up.
OR.................................It's Bastianini and you never quite know with this guy.I haven't looked up the results to check, but I thought that Bastianini had improved his qualifying recently. Unless there's something about Philip Island I don't know about, I would predict somewhere in the first two rows. It's quite likely there's something about Philip Island I don't know about as I don't tend to remember races and history in as much detail as others do.
