So, this is it. Not surprised (but admittedly delighted) at Stoner leading the timetables. I am impressed, seriously, by RdP, but also a bit by Rossi and Ducati Factory. I thought they would be about 1.5s behind. A full second is still (too) much, but at least it's going to be around P5-7 instead of P8-10. This sucks big time, of course, because it is exactly where they spent the most of last season. But at least, erm, it's not worse than that.
As for the CRTs: Besides RdP, Petrucci and Ioda deserve some respect. Beating Edwards is a small landmark, I think. As for their overall performance: I think the treshold for being regarded as serious contenders should be at least halfway the distance between best Moto2 and best MotoGP time. The ART package provides the means to perform in this region, as was clearly demonstrated by RdP. As for Ioda, NGM and Avintia, there is little way to know how much potential there still might be.
But anyway, let's bring up Qatar!
