Stoner point 8 behind Pedrochio? WTF!

Its obvious isn't it!!

People say that having a baby slows the riders down ......... but they have never really analyzed it.

Becoming a father ......... Stoner was still fast.

Taking photos of the baby .......... Stoner is slower by 1 second.

Ergo .......... its actually the taking of baby photos that slows the riders down !!

Hayden seems very good!

He must have been drafting..
<
.....I hope not, but it's strange to see Nick that high on the time sheets early....lets hope he improves through out the test.

I can't wait to see how De Puniet fairs at the end of the test.

14.25 times. Crashers: Bautista, Espargaro and DePuniet...

Riders complaining/commenting on wind picking up... detrimental to ultimate lap times!

Good to see Stoner not in 1st place. This stirs excitement in me that it's a possibility that he won't run away and ruin the races. What's Rossi doing half a sec behind his teammate? Wasn't this bike designed for him? But, still very happy to see humble Nicky towards the top.

2 more weeks till we see the lights of Qatar! ! !

Gooooo Pie Man!!!! Oooops Jorge just did a 139.956...

Almost 4pm and Lorenzo down to a 1.39.419 to move 0.565s clear of Spies. Stoner into 2nd with a 1.39.833. 0.414s behind Lorenzo

Cal has been the biggest improvement during the testing season. Those 1K really do seem to suit him. I hope this continues.

The times seem to be very tight among the top 10. I think this has more to do with Jerez. I predict the Qatar times will me much more scattered. Looks like Nicky started with a good base setting. Randy is the best non-factory rider who has been overlooked for several years.

16.20... Betcha Nicky's gonna be happy tonight.

double....but while I have your attention, anyone notice how frightingly thin Spies looks in his official team photo's with JL? Can someone with more skill post a pic of him from SBK and this most recent photo, I'd like to see a comparison.

Hhhmmmm, I'm no sure Nicky will be all that thrilled to be 1.2/lap slower than JL and .5 slower than Spies. Sure, 5th place is decent but the pace is still way off.

I'm seeing a big Kentucky ....-eatin' grin for some reason

Nicky certainly typically makes the best of a ...... situation. We'll see. I'd like to see that gap down to about .5 before I'm ready to declare progress but who knows. I'm cautiously optimistic for the next few days of testing.

Repsol Honda team tweeting track conditions less than optimal...

As for Nicky - first guy to beat is your team mate...

Cal on a ripper!!

Good stuff.. These times are great and thanks for the updates.. twitter is a godsend for stuff like this
<
.. but i wish i could see the consistency of laps. they've all ran a good amount, im sure theres plenty of data..

On a side note, these times look like FP1 times from last years Jerez, in QP last year Hayden hit a 1.40.1, i wonder how much data can be useful from previous years with the new bikes.. then again, i suppose every year they might as well have a new bike.. it'd be very interesting to see the whole process of setup.. or is it mainly just riders getting accustomed to the track again.. doubt it takes this caliber of rider long.. but for sure its a factor..

2 more weeks!
