We wer talking about ur lame ... half balls attempt at making a point with dorna. If ur gonna protest, hav the balls to go all the way. Boycott everything. Empty ... threats. Dorna makes money off ur viewrship genius. Nobody shows up to Qatar, yet, its prob the most profitable venue for GP. Empty threats. Oh, im gonna protest these CRTs boo hoo (even though i havent been able to explain a reasonable reason why when pressed), by not going to a race, but my ... will be counted as part of their rating, where they make the big money. U really understand economics buddy.

Jumkie try to understand economics. Don't attend race means money stays in pocket. This happens quite often when the customer becomes dissatisfied with the product.

Watch on tv costs time. Time has a value also. It can be invested elsewhere. Some very dissatisfied customers (called talpa) "threaten" not to invest time in the product either.

Ezpeleta is choosing to try and get poor talpa back, and showing the middle finger to pov.

Anyway, the overwheming majority of GP fans do not attend a race. Dorna makes their money from TV. Its the venue who is trying to make money on tix and concession sales (to make back the loop Dorna already deposited in the bank in form of sanction fee). Pov isnt gonna go to any other event except Indy. Its a ........ empty meaningless cowardly protest he declared. If he really was against CRTs he'd leave the sport and in that way it'd mean something. Dorna makes money from his ... (avery large one) by tuning in, something hes not disputing. So why the big bold ........ ptotest that amounts to nothing? Its just words on a vertual cloud amounting to zilch.

It was just a fan boy blindly alining himself with his hero. Stoner said he would give up racing if bla bla. A thread is started that projected a negitive aspect to stoners threats. This attracted people who dont like stoner or know stoner is not bigger than the sport to debate the threat.

Pov being the blind fan of stoner because of his hatred to rossi and his fans most of which dont like stoner to jump in and defend him. The only way he knew to do this was with his own protest alining himself with stoner.



His threat (povs) was lame and meaningless because he only attends one race at most a year anyway. For the record and without going back to search for the post, i also thought his threat was to stop following motogp period!

Pov will win. Ezpeleta only has three years to cash in as much as possible while Rossi is still around. After that the majority of the all important tv audience is gone, and they will be begging for pov to come back. They will even give him pure prototypes to do so.

Personally I don't mind ezpo stuffing it right up because he won't last anyway once the cash dries up. Honda, Yamaha, ducati, Suzuki and aprilia will last and keep making prototypes because that's what they do.

If you want to talk about fanboyism, the problem you guys have is that virtually everything you (and valentino to an extent for that matter) have said or thought about stoner's riding and the ducati, and all your amateur psychological speculation about him, has been comprehensively disproved; in other words, you've got nothing, to which your response seems to be yet more invention.



Fine if you don't like his personality or think he whines excessively, those are opinions to which you are entirely entitled, although you will have to look beyond your boy to nicky hayden and ben spies for non-whiners in the current field. Making him the villain of the jerez torpedo incident, or suggesting that the most badass/fearless road racing rider on the planet lacks bravery, is pure invention and you should expect to be called on it.

I had just come from the other thread, and qualified my post by "if you want to talk about fanboyism" before reading this reply.



The same thing applies to the "stoner threatening to quit" business". It is legitimate to say his remark was not helpful as reigning world champion given the state of motogp, even if this was not his intention, which I conceded. Yours and pete's character assassination on the basis that he had some duty not to retire because of a duty to make more money, or a duty to disadavantaged youth or somesuch after years of calling him a one hit wonder and questioning the legitimacy of his first title was nonsense to which I objected. I also think it is possible for povol to be pro-stoner, anti-rossi and philosophically opposed to CRT racing for the reasons he gave without the latter necessarily being related to the former two.
