2012 Entry List

Jum, you obviously dont understand the Deals Gap scene. On any given day during the spring, summer and fall, you will run across hundreds of riders. I have literally ridden with thousands of riders and dont know any of their names, except the guys i ride with on a weekly basis. If your really bored, try Barber, and maybe VIR for the same years in all classes. Finish those and i will give you another assignment.

As an aside... Pov, what's the deal with Deal's Gap now? Last I heard, from you if I remember correctly, was that part and/or parts of it were shut down. Is it fully opened again?

Unlike some people, i dont assume that everything someone tells me is a lie. That would make for a very sad and cynical life. Considering Pietri was 4-5 seconds behind the front runners at the time, it didnt seem to far fetched that a good WERA rider could beat him. Since Jum went to all the trouble, there is a name on one of the list that ran WERA, CCS, and select AMA events in 2009 and finished ahead of Pietri. Plus, he lives in Georgia,. Maybe its not that far fetched after all.

Im starting to get a complex of being the only person on the planet who doesnt qualify as a Moto GP rider.

http://www.crash.net...ino_pietri.html

I ride with guys on Deals Gap who have personally spanked this guy in AMA events, and he is a GP rider.. Someone needs to stop the insanity.

I know and quite like 'tino (that's Robertino, not Valentino). However, he is very much not MotoGP material. Fast, but not that fast. He's back of the Moto2 field most of the time.

However, historically, MotoGP and 500s have been full of people who had no business being there. And it has always been full of people who are only there because they can afford it. Just google Jose Luis Cardoso. Or go to the MotoGP.com website and have a wander through the results from the 80s and 90s. Plus ca change...

Pov you crack me up, your backpedaling and downplaying of what you clearly attempted to do--to embellish your personal disapproval of CRTs at the expense of Pietri, is not lost on me. Your last couple of posts after I called your BS, says to me that you can't man up to the gross embellishment in trying to pad a point; despite it being overwhelming clear that at best, 'believing' some tall tale from some faceless dude(s) out on a street ride is naïve to the Nth degree considering their claim, and at worst, you simply made it up. Robertino is relatively obscure, so who would call you on your supposed personal insight from your mystery riding companion(s) regarding his riding ability? Even if Robertino made himself famous with his crash on Roger Lee, surely you would have taken an interest in these anonymous rider(s) who could “spank” Robertino. I can imagine the context of the conversation that led you guys to his name; “hey, you remember that guy who tried to murder Roger Lee on the track, Pietri, well I can ‘spank’ that MF.’ After you were done patting him on the back, I would have imagined you asked him his name. After all, isn’t Road Atlanta your home AMA track? You could have at least extended the courtesy to rooting for the guy as a hometown hero. Lets not even go into the unlikelihood, as you said you rode with them, that a 7 foot 13 inch guy such as yourself riding a Kawasaki 150000 (I'm assuming you were riding your ZX-12) was actually keeping up with these mystery riding companion(s) (you did use plural, didn't you?)

I understand you are not a fan of the CRT buddy. You've already made that clear, your personal protest/empty boycott and pseudo -logic aside and all. So posting the link to yet another CRT entry piloted by a guy who doesn't have the 'normal' credentials to be in the field would have been good enough to convey your disapproval of the new rules for entries and some of the riders getting seats. Fair enough, but you had to take it one step further. You had to claim that you personally ride (that is implying ongoing, not some extreme statistical likelihood) with some dudes that could spank his .... Hahaha ........ bro. I call ........ on you.

Ant West

I (ANTHONY WEST) will not race in moto gp this year or any other race because I can not find sponsorship to pay the SPEED MASTER team,

Because all teams are asking for money from the riders only the rich can race in motogp / moto2 / moto3,

I can not even afford to ride a year for free,

As i have YET to be payed from my former team MZ Germany Moto2 team.

I had my car mx bike and my house for sale trying to keep the ride and even gave the house as a guarantee if I did not find the money but was not enough.

I will most likely not race any more and will retune back to australia to find a normal job.

Sorry to my fans.

I have mixed emotions about Ant's situation. As much as i like seeing people chase their dreams, as a parent, i feel like scolding him for being irresponsible. Putting your future in hock to chase a dream of being a motorcycle racer is understandable when your 18-25 years old. Selling homes and belongings to ride a 20th place bike for free in your 30's is plain stupid. His window has come and gone, he got his shot on the big time scene and had a decent career. Everybody doesnt get to retire in their 30's with millions in the bank, so off to work you go.

Westy

Ant West ‎@ Marino Marcotrigiano your SO right but it will never happen that the fast riders left will boycott, there all to afraid to loss the ride they have because another will just come with the money and take it! Just like Mattia Pasini has done to me,, unfortunately your loved sport will only get worse and become as boring as F1.

Pasini Bought his ride off him ????? ££$$..pffft

I feel sorry West, but I would rate Pasini just as high as rider. Less experienced though (West has ridden pretty much every kind of road racing bike there was to race during his career).

so this is the solution, crt ...

gutted for ant, i hope he will eventually find a good ride again .normal jobs suck

Its a good thing people don't think like you, otherwise we would have missed out on some great sports moments. I get you don't understand a person putting their heart and soul into chasing their dream. I guess that's just you. Not everybody had a ......... like Pedros buddy to usher him in on a red carpet to the top of the sport. I wonder if that's the advice you would have given Stoner's dad. Given he sold the family stability for a statistically close to impossible shot at the big time. I'll save you the "well Stoner was special" defense, since lots of these kids are special and have promise and many amounted to nothing if they didn't have the right circumstances. I could have heard you now, 'What, you're going to sell everything and move to another country for your kid to chase a dream?' As you wagged your finger at him. Oh, Btw, dude, I seriously doubt Ant's got millions in the bank.

I'm not an Ant fan, but let me say this, I have no doubt that if he would have been Carlos Checa's teammate last year, he wouldn't have been that far off of an "old man" who now is the World Champ. Just an opinion, but I don't think it would be 'far fetched' (another term you used recently).
