2 years today RIP supersic

It took this picture from pit lane at Laguna Seca 2011. Just 7 races before that tragic day.

RIP kid.

Chops & Lil Red, the two pics u boys took and gave me still gets the most conversation in the man cave. Danny just purchased this awesome artist's rendition of Sic on track. I'll get a pic and post it.

Make of it what u will, but ironically we are still raging over dangerous racing habits and debating what is acceptable. I honestly feel Sic was turning the page. Love him or not he was a wonderful character for the sport.

I have this,

The most important photo to me I own.

Taken Jerez 2011 first practice.

Signed Silverstone 2011, the last time I spoke to him.

I had another of slightly less quality, I gave that one to Brother Bass earlier in the year.

It still brings a lump to my throat thinking about Marco.

First met Marco in 06?

On Saturday night of the GP, we put on a spread for some of the Aprilia guys down at PI.

Young mid-packer on the Metis bike dropped past, ate tea and went home early.

Still kinda regret not chatting to him more.

RIP Marco.

Man you missed out, I was fortunate to talk to him numerous times,

The first was 2010 in Valencia, Shovelhead educated me and the boys and we ended up with this,

After that just about every GP attended I managed to say at least hi,

I feel humbled yet privileged to have met him on so many occasions.

I oftern think where would he be now,

Challenging? Maybe.

But it would be exciting as fcuk him and MM going head to head I know who would lose.

Race In Peace Marco.

Sorry forgot to post the pic

Great pic Red. I took a similar pic of Lorenzo at the Andretti hairpin in 08, except mine is unsigned sadly. The boy had a big personality and i think that's why we miss him so much.

I couldn't agree more mate.

BTW I never got the chance to thank you for encouraging me to go to the memorial at Valencia in 2011,

You disappeared.

It was good to have closure to an extent.

Thank you ;)

Damn.  I can still remember the day so clearly even now :(

Yeah :( I was away at my dad's place painting the fairing in my avatar. Watching the race in an empty house on my laptop, just stunned.

One of the most heart wrenching memory's i have is when Simo offered his hand to shake and non of the riders excepted it. Life just too short to hold grudge's.

I still wonder...... how the hell did his bike maintain such grip instead of lowsliding.away.

It did low side. Trouble was Simo held on to it, the rear tyre then got some traction and dragged him into the race line. If only he had just let go he and the bike would have slid to the outside of the track to safety.
