Marquez retires... Go Smith... a second will put you first overall... don't bin it!!

I'm watching Cameron Beaubier here, I'm impressed - and as I speak he's just gone down

That was a damn fine ride as well. That's all the KTM's out.

As you were typing the young yank dropped it... looks like bad wrist - hope he's OK!!

Simon is on rails... great wet ride... (fingers crossed) os far!!

Well that race was bit boring IMO, too many crashes, Simón too far away. Most entertaining for me was seeing Aspar climbing on wall to yell at Simón to slow down and giving him false info on the board (+40s). Still Simón didn't slow down much and won by TWENTY FIVE SECONDS!

With such a high rate of attrition the riders who kept their heads deserve plenty of credit. Simon and Simoncelli though were both in a league of their own. Good damage limitation from Iannone and frustrating lack of disipline from Debon..........So i guess the usual then. Gutted for Luthi

Bautista and Ianone where lucky today that so many riders crashed in front of them, they got a nice bunch of points each.

Amazing rides from Simon, Simoncelli, Faubel and Folger. I'm really gutted for Luthi though as I'm sure he had an easy podium there until Debon took him out.

Nice couple of points for Toby Markham too.

Great day for Wilairot... after taking lesson's from Rossi on how to remodel a house by putting your hand and foot through a glass table
<
... smart and conservative ride brings best result ever for the the Thai youngster!!

"Honda SAG team-mate Ratthapark Wilairot (Thai Honda PTT-SAG) scored his best-ever World Championship result in fifth place after a heroic ride with a right-hand injury sustained in a recent domestic accident. Wilairot rode with his throttle/brake hand heavily bandaged and had to learn a new riding technique, braking only with his middle finger." From Paddock Talk

Well now we got Aspar's version of the Talmacsi case.

According to him, Talma was supposed to get his 2nd bike from Le Mans onwards, and he showed to the media Talma's box with the 2 bikes. And about the rights, he showed the part of the contract where it was written that those belong the team's sponsors.

But the MotoGP Scot rumour explains it everything. Talma's manager (Italian) was in contact with the (Italian)Scot team and knew about their economical difficulties, so his plan is to take Talma and his Hungarian sponsors to MotoGP, that way he gets way more coverage than in 250cc. Obviously there was a problem with this plan and that is the current contract that ties him to Aspar's 250cc team, and that's why they've come up with this excuse to pull out.

Aspar travelled to Hungary to meet Talmacsi and they didn't reach an agreement about the ownership of rights, so now he will be substituted by Nemeth Balazs (another Hungarian).

Talma must be feeling very confident he can get a GP ride to pass on this chance.

Top 3 in just 0.038 of a second, reaaally close, though potentially it could be a 4 way fight with Bautista, Simoncelli, Barberá and Aoyama I think it's gonna be a showdown between last year's title contenders Bautista and Simoncelli. The last minute token Hungarian replacement of Talmacsi managed to qualify within the 107% in 22nd position that's better than I thought he would do. I believe Talma made a mistake quitting Aspar team, IMO he had the best bike and team ... unless he's onto something BIG in MotoGP (substituting Nicky in Marlboro Ducati???? )

Though in preseason it looked like Simón was gonna blitz the field with only Ianone close, now I think Simón's teammate Smith will maybe be the closest challenger. He's showing maturity at a very young age.

How awesome was De Rosa saving that crash?

This is as good as Mamola's save.

1st: sorry for my bad english

2nd: if this thread is too "insulting" => erase it! most important i can write these lines down!

I really hate marco simoncelli! hes an .....!

be honest:

a GOOD racer is good in many things and he has to be good at: preparing the bike, being fast in 1 lap and over the distance, in the rain, know his limit AND knows how much time he has to attack and sees WHERE he can attack.

simoncelli has OFTEN ruined the races of other riders with his stupid ....-driving!!!! he sucks as hell! I think he should be banned for a race.

i remember last year when he ttook down another guy in the last corner.

when I race, I have to know: i have a chance or i dont! the other riders know, but mr "im the best (.....)" doesnt!

and dont tell me a punishment (which he of course wont recieve) would kill racing cause noone knows what is ok and what isnt!

simoncellis far too aggressive riding is NOT ok...personally i think he takes hisself much to important!

if the next big fight in GP will be simoncelli VS. lorenzo i hope lorenzo kicks his stupid .......

so:

if some mod wants to erase this: go ahead, i said my opinion.

what do you guys think about that point?

im REALLY pissed by so much idiotic behaviour.

I agree. I really hope it all comes back to him. Every other race he seems to be in a shady situation with a number of different riders.

Passi, good post... it won't be erased! But you should warn about possible "spoilers" for those who haven't seen the race.

Anyway... Simoncelli's "pass" today reminded me of Dovi's pass on Perdrosa earlier this year. No harm, no foul IMHO!
<

thx....im glad im not the only one seeing it that way!

sry for not warning, but if SO hasent seen the races, they shouldnt come to a motoGP site LOL...;-)=

next time i will warn anyway!
<

accidents can happen but simoncelli is far too optimistic! it always seems he has this opinion: i overtalke U, and if i cant, were BOTH out.

this is (and now im NOT pissed off) STUPID racing! its not about ONE win, but the championship!

Good win from Smith world champ this year? Webb was unlucky running in 4th before crashing.

250 as usual was full of drama with Simoncelli and Bautista having that squabble allowing a well deserved win for Pasini. What was up with that pink bike?...
