Damn... my boy Wilairot up to 5th... then, off camera, he goes down and now is being stretched off... WTF happened?

Not the best races for either of the 2 stroke classes today. 125 was an interesting battle of tyres, but how wild did Iannone look? He was having some moments!! Smith's result was pretty average, but apparently that moment he had cut his neck, i hope hes ok.

250 was looking good for Marco until he ran over that kirb, he'll be pretty disappointed im sure as he could of got some decent points today. Bautista did what he had to do, and with Barbera and Simonchelli having issues he's done himself no harm at all. Good ride by Hiro and Shuhei too!

I only saw the last few laps of 125cc, very tricky conditions, congrats to Ianonne, 2 races into the season and this already seems to be Ianonne vs Simón fight for the title.

250cc was pretty entertaining, watching Bautista recover from a bad start and Hiro put a fight for the win with the Honda. I think TV coverage was a bit poor, some riders fell and I didn't know how (Wilairot, Faubel ..) and I still don't know what happened to Barberá who was 21st after the first lap despite he apparently started ok.

Title fight here seems quite open, Simoncelli, Bautista and Barberá have shown a lot of speed but little consistency, on the other hand Aoyama has been near the top on both.

Big bummer for di Meglio. Was in 4th IIRC, after passing Talmacsi, before hitting the wet patch and going for a ride. Still, with the flat by Simmoncelli and rough race by Barbera, he is still a title contender, after his debut podium.

I wouldn't say so at all. Rookies are VERY rareley title contenders and I don't expect Di Meglio in the top 3 at the end of the season

3 categories 3 Spaniards on pole. Oh yeah baby.

Simón on 125cc was quite expected but I was surprised by Debón's lap. We'll see if he's got the pace tomorrow. Simoncelli crashed 3 times today ... he's lucky to be one of the 3 guys in 250cc that has a spare bike.

Well, the 250cc race is shaping up to be another Jerez classic, i've got no idea whos gonna take it tomorrow. Of the riders there, i'd like it to be Barbera.

125: my faith lies with Smith as usual, but Iannone and Simon will be hard to beat i think

A good run in qualies by di Meglio. 8th in his first season in 250cc at Jerez is a good feat. I expect him to run near the front and for a podium like he did in Qatar and Japan (before falling).

well done bradders great ride from the front..

Congrats to Smith amazing metronomic pace there, can't remember the last time someone won like a race with that margin!

I didn't catch the beggining so I don't know what happened to Simón and Ianone but it's good to have more riders up there. Watch out for the new generation, I think some of these names we'll hear them a lot in the future, Smith, Espargaró, Folger.

This Folger kid (he's 15 I think) started 35th and was running 3rd when he crashed in the last lap I don't think I had ever seen someone improve 32 places in a race.

Wow amazing 250cc race ... congrats to Aoyama! How much overtaking was there in this race??? like 5 passes per lap all race long!!!!

Brutal fight among the top 4, I'm surprised nobody crashed! Though is was close many times! I swear I read Aoyama's chassis number from Bautista's front cam lol!

Looks it's gonna be a fantastic ending to the 250cc era with this 4 fighting for the championship.

BTW how quick was that Honda??? IMO Honda wants to sign off from 250cc with style. Winning the championship with a Japanese rider and bike.

Completely agree - in their 50th year of competition, (first turned up to race on the island in '59)

But what a calling card to his employers in Tokyo...Aoyama wasn't simply chasing down Alvaro in that race, he was putting the pressure on his career long rival and team mate in the Moto GP class, who currently isn't acquitting himself that convincingly.

congrats to bradley. finally he gets that monkey off his back after 4 seasons he gets his 1st win. hope the rest of your season is as productive.
the 250 race..... wow friggin awesom!!! by far the most entertaining race. very impressed with aoyamas ride... very impressed.

GOOOOO BRAD!!! Seeing brad take that win has made my day, it has been such a long time coming and i hope this sets the ball rolling for a championship challenge. When he broke early i thought to myself that Simon might bin it trying to catch him at home, but i didn't really believe it. Iannone payed for the wild riding we've seen from him all year. How about Folger? Surely he's gonna be huge.......

What is it about Jerez that produces classic 250cc races almost without fail? It's unbelievable. Moto2 will struggle to match the viewing pleasure of a race like that. Simoncelli looked like he was doing all he could to mix it up, but unfortunately has made no ground on Bautista or Aoyama. Hiro was brilliant today, and it's great to see what the Honda can still do in the right hands. Barbera never really looked like he could mix it up, but at least he kept cool and stayed on it, solid job. Did anybody see that Luthi has snuck himself into 4th in the standings without seemingly doing anything, i was surprised.

don't be so sure tom. i think it's gonna be very competitive.

Well done to Bradley, a most dominating win. The 250 race was awesome, Aoyama is a badass and IMO a title contender.

Excellent Bradley

Stop growing now though or the bike won`t fit you mid season.
