Yamaha extends Rossi contract to 2018

IMHO - body language is inconclusive. What is required here in order to get an accurate reading of the situation, is expert testimony from a member of a more serious branch of investigative science, like say a phrenologist. Possibly, as a bonus, we could get him or her to give us some perspective on the surface conditions in turn one in Argentina :p

You may have a valid argument that those accusing Valentino of being involved in conspiracy theories are engaging in same themselves.

What doesn't seem in any doubt however is that Valentino would seem to have had the expectation that the guy who runs/proxy owns the sport should come to his motor home to discuss Valentino's personal conspiracy theories, suggesting a rather higher level of influence than Jumkie exercises by posting on this forum.

To tear down a brother's fantasy when he's on the vinegar stroke of his tenth conspirygasm. Like... So not cool.

MotoGP is rigged like WWE, has been since the beginning of the 990 era.

Not really, to be honest, or the not very generally popular Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner wouldn't have 5 titles between them, and Nicky Hayden probably wouldn't have won his title either.

True although it's becoming increasingly more difficult for anyone beyond the chosen few to make their mark.

Things are a bit crazy and I have meetings tomorrow afternoon but next weekend sounds good.
I'll pm.

I moved to Hengshan Lu this time by the way. So also in Xu Hui The subway is brilliant.

I'm rather amazed that this exchange is suddenly so vague and up for debate. Then again, apparently Rossi was unfairly penalized for simply running the longest block pass in the history of the world. If something on the track so obvious is up for 'interpretation', debating Rossi's 'intent' as supposedly impossible to deduce, then absolutely everything is unfalsifiable. Maybe all the attention the video got of Rossi's exchange with Carmelo, prompting Kropo and other journalists to make a specific point of highlighting it as indication of an inappropriate dynamic was all based on a mistaken identity. Gaz and Little Red, both guys I particularly regard as solid dudes, ask, what does this video "prove"? I think the video does prove something. The video 'proves' that Rossi has an extraordinarily cozy relationship with the CEO of the sport enough to talk with him in a manner that betrayed him on camera. If we want to sit here and pretend that has no baring on proceedings in a world where power politics is the name of the game, then it's precisely why they can do what they do.

Your last point is appreciated.

I agree that its not rigged, but it is manipulated.

That's so obvious nowadays but nobody takes them to task for it.
Last year Lorenzo won four in a row on the softs with good edge grip tyres, including a roasting hot Mugello with a 200mph straight. He pulled right back up to Rossi in the championship and then they went to Assen.
At a cooler Assen they announced the soft tyres weren't being used due to safety, even Marquez questioned this saying in a roundabout way it was due to Rossi ("we know why but we daren't say") was his answer when asked his opinion by journalists. It was clear that pressure was being applied to slow Lorenzo down as Rossi fans were starting to complain the racing was boring, a complaint they always come out with when their hero isn't winning. This situation was repeated several times during the season for no apparent reason.

As Krops said on here a while ago, people are always biased and are going to see things the way they want to.
