WSBK Rd #8 - Misano

Bad Max takes Race 1 and, with Haslam back in 7th or so, nicely extends his points lead.

Corser led for much of the race, but the BMWs Tire Devouring tendencies were too much to overcome; he finished 3rd, behind Checa.

you know what really sucks tho..... speed will be broadcasting, all times are est, race1 at 11pm with race 2 at 12am.

We all need to flood WSBK website with request for a subscription like motogp. I have had enough of the GREED channel, with their ASScar, bull run & every other wothless program they have to offer.

I have already did my part! Please use this link to request a subscription for 2011. http://www.worldsbk.com/index.php?option=com_rsform&Itemid=182

Race 2

Biaggi wins also race 2 on Aprilia

followed by Haslam and Fabrizio on his Ducati

Strong combination of Aprilia and Biaggi tough to beat!

Biaggi doubles.

I want Haslam to win this championship, but it looks increasingly less likely b/c Max has a 37 point lead and the momentum. I saw that Haslam was crying for help from Suzuki, but I don't know that it will help. The Eurosport crew said during the broadcast that teams like Aprilia and BMW have full dedicated test teams for their machines. They don't race in GP so they probably have the funding to run an amazing WSBK outfit.

haga had an 80 point lead at one point last season......... but then again haslam is not spies & biaggi is not haga....

I heard that as well. BMW have certainly improved, no offense to Corser, the guy is doing great, but he is missing that little "push it" factor to have gotten the win. At least the BMW didn't fade at the halfway point this time so things are looking better. I don't know why Suzuki couldn't give more help for Haslam, they obviously aren't putting any money into GP. This year is one of their worst yet in GP. I'm kinda pulling for Biaggi to win the championship, he's been hard working in WSBK for some time now, he certainly is on a roll and has an amazing bike and team that has gelled with him perfectly. Watching him ride the small Aprilia, and with his smooth style, he looks just like a 250 rider out there.

What's going on with Honda, they decide to skip the testing at Misano (money reasons?) and it certainly showed, Rea had a terrible weekend. Neukirchner is now officially in the lost cause category, guy was great before all those accidents.

Both races were pretty exciting for the bulk of the race. Eurosport did a good job covering the various battles. The exception being following Biaggi on his entire last lap of race 2, even though Crutchlow and Fabio were having a good scrap (granted it was an Italian at an Italian track). Not sure how the Speed channel coverage was. I missed having Burnicle and Whitham, I suppose they were off commentating at BSB. Their replacement Rymer? was terrible to listen to, the ex Brit racer wasn't too bad though.

WSS, although not being it's usual excitement this year, has a really close championship at this point.

Wow, just watched the races last night. Biaggi was not going to be denied with the pass on Fabi in the second race, that took some balls. In the first race the old veterans were showing the way, so I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. Was good to see at least one BMW at the pointy end the entire race. I give those guys just a few more races before you see the BMW on the top step, very impressive!

Ducati....WTF? Got a customer bike still kicking ... so that tells me there is nothing wrong with the bike, I hate it for Nori wanted him to do well this year.

Honda chose to test at Assen. It could be money related b/c Assen is their home circuit, but I'm not sure. One way or another, missing a test at the next circuit on the calendar was a big mistake. They looked like garbage out their. With the exception of Assen, they look bad this year.

not with the 2 riders they have... sorry but corser is good for bike development only... he is truly the king of fade. if he has to fight for position he'll always end up conceding & settle... sorta like pedrosa. and xaus is just a waste of a bike & alot of expensive parts. bmw are in need of a spies...

Why not, he is a proven GP winner and is better than half the field in GP, maybe more. I used to despise him, but he seems to have been humbled somewhat by his exile from GP. Besides, GP is desperate for a full field.

GP has just had an influx of rookies on their way up the ladder, leaving very few of the old grid filling riders left. Max has been excellent in superbike this year but we've seen pretty much everyone who moves over from superbike fail in motogp, do you really think Max is going to be different based on the fact that he had some motogp success 6 years ago? It's not like he has a hope of getting on top factory kit.
