WSBK Rd #8 - Misano

WSBK is back in action with racing at Misano. Last year was a weird set of races with a semi wet track and drying conditions. Let's hope for a dry track this year. The race is on Sunday so no conflict with the MotoGP race on Saturday. The track supposedly favors Ducati, we'll have to wait and see if that holds true.

the wsbk boy's have had quite the vacation.....

No kidding, 4 weeks, it's time for them to put on the boots and get out there.

As far as a race prediction, too early to tell. I imagine Biaggi and Haslam will be strong as always, but will the Ducati's (Checa, Haga, Fabrizio) be able to get the job done? And will Rea, Crutchlow and JT show up ready to compete? Camier was looking good on the Aprilia last round too. Going to have to wait until FP1.

Hard for me to get excited just yet since MotoGP will be racing on Saturday. However, this is a rare treat with GP on Saturday and a WSBK doubleheader on Sunday.

you know what really sucks tho..... speed will be broadcasting, all times are est, race1 at 11pm with race 2 at 12am.

Will this help?

If she were naked on a bed, I'd hit it until I had to be carried out on a stretcher, but that's human nature.

It's all about je ne sais quoi, depth of character, passion, and soul. Living blow up dolls never have it. Tragic.

Anyone notice that Troy Corser had the top time in FP1

Things have changed since this morning. Crutchlow top dog now, but Corser still up there. Biaggi making good time now. Not sure what is up with Guintoli, the guy pulled a 1.36.0 at the recent Misano test, and now he is 1.1 sec off?

Compare todays times to those from the last weeks Misano test:

Sylvan Guintoli – 1.36.0

Cal Crutchlow – 1.36.2

Leon Haslam – 1.36.4

That is odd, specially considering all the other guys are about where they were during testing.

Corser takes Superpole by .5 seconds. Three Ducatis in front of Haga. Guintoli in front of Haslam. Rea in 16th. Chris Vermeulen 21st.

Strange Days

What a ride by Corser. Haga 9th isn't to bad and pretty close to his normal qualifiing pace. Hope he can do some good.

Anybody know why Fujiwara isn't riding in Supersport btw?

Interesting to see a wildcard in 3rd, and Sofoglu not 1st or 2nd.

Grid seems to have grown since the flyaway races also, which is good.
