How is he done Kev? he is on, probably THE most under developed bike in WSB. He IS with the Renegade squad who are a winning team, and Ben is def a winner. Put those two together with a DEVELOPED bike next year and...

Ben has already said that he has some "unfinished business" in WSB, and Mark Griffiths(Renegade team boss) has said that he realises that this year would technicaly be a 'testing year', and as far as i know Ben is sticking with them for next year...

If i were you Kev i'd get your USA flags out for next year mate, cus he's guna be kickin some ...... IMO.

Spot on Drill, bye bye Jamie hello Lorenzo.

About Ben, let's keep in mind he is working on tires that are brand new to him, developing a bike with a team that has no experience with the machine with very little funding in general. Up until a round or two ago they were still tweaking the bike to feel right to Ben, according to Ben's quotes and Mark Griffith's it sounded like they found the magical setting when they went to Silverstone for the BSB round, his qualifying time would have put him on Superpole for the WSB race a couple weeks prior. Unfortunately for Ben he crashed in some liquid in race 1 and according to fellow riders who saw the crash it was the worst high side they had ever seen. Ben sufferred massive internal and back injuries which have hindered him since. He was throwing up in his helmet at ther German GP, it's absolutely amazing he finished 10th and 15th. If his development continues with the bike, team and tires for 2006 look for Ben to return to his 2001 form.

ron, last season ben had the advantage of full hrc kit in ama superbike & pretty much floundered. hence he lost his ride with the factory team. so come contract time he had 2 choices. it was erion honda here in the states or renegade in wsbk. i think he made the right choice. but don't expect to much from ben, even with a developed bike. i'll wait for roger hayden or jason deSalvo to get to wsbk for my stars & stripes waving.

Don't forget that for half of the 2004 season Ben had an inner ear problem which affected his balance and depth perception. What that means is Ben couldn't tell where he was in relation to his braking markers. Once he recovered from that he took two wins at Laguna Seca and was consistantly a podium challenger with Zemke following Mladin and Duhamel around.

For 2005 Ben had one option in his head, WSB. He may very well have had an offer from Erion but Ben wanted out of the AMA because of lap traffic and ridiculous rules, his options were Renegade or Klaffi Honda and I believe he made the right choice. Renegade offerred him an opportunity to fill in his crew as he likes, that being said there are many crew members in the Renegade squad there were around in his L&M Ducati days. Ben will start clicking, believe me.

To be honest I would be surprised of Roger went to WSB, he strikes me as quite the country boy and if he doesn't have a ride in MotoGP he will keep racing in the states. WSB is no more attractive than the AMA or BSB for a young star such as Roger Hayden. However I do see Disalvo going to WSB, he's got that attitude to him that he wants to prove everything he can right now. Even if it means WSB on uncompetitive machinery, he lacks patience but it seems to be coming.

well Ooost you'll not convince me of bbs value. unless he starts gettin some decent results (at least top 10 consistently) i'll keep thinkin he's a slacker. as for rog, i think he would definately go to wsbk. wsbk is back on the rise & i think he would jump at the chance to prove himself in that series. full factory squads across the board will be back in wsbk. if not 06 then in 07.
