I don't think it is unreasonable to speculate that valentino rossi might be faster than him if he was back on a honda or yamaha though

Not unreasonable, just dull. Rossi had the measure of Stoner for a few seasons; doesn't mean a thing now. (Edit: Excuse the terseness, but by the time this season is over Rossi will be damaged goods, and the most he can hope for in 2013 is a satellite bike. And after the last two years on the Ducati, lets just say Rossi's ability to win on inferior equipment is questionable. So color me skeptical that he's going to set the world on fire in 2013.)

Pedrosa's not going anywhere, which is the topic at hand.

But, but, but.... Nicky said so!!!

Ah, how cute, another SuperShit added to PS.

The only thing u've been good for since u've arrived from whatever ........ u crawled out of has been to cut and paste off Google. Wake me up when u have an insightful comment.

Hey look, its pinks & supershit, theyre calling u for ur daily circle jerk.

In my opinion the repsol, spanish theory is a little bit lame, I know sponsors are important but how much ....... important is what repsol thinks about HRC and the racing? All they want is their repsol brand to be on a champion bike. They don't give a .... if the champion is Spanish or Australian or American. They (Repsol Guy) maybe fantasize the dream of another spanish champion and even bust their nuts at night with it but logically they just support the team financially as long as the factory team remains powerful and successful. Imagine what would Nakamoto's reaction be to the spanish dude from repsol telling him what to do about the riders? I think the only respond from the HRC guys is ".... off and mind your own business, Our team has a champion". And by the way please check repsol's website, the factory is in Madrid, (Paseo de la Castellana 278-28028046, Madrid (Spain)) Pedrosa is from Barcelona, Guys from Madrid and Barcelona don't get well around each other, So if the spanish thing and Repsols opinion about racing is really important, the Repsol Honda guys would kick Pedrosa's tiny little ... out of the team on 2008 to get Lorenzo (the Spanish dude not from Barcelona) fresh out of the 250 category. I don't think things go that way.

I don't think anyone could wake you up with a dynamite enema... your head seems to be firmly wedged up your colon.

Like many of your cuntrymen, you have a sense of humour bypass when it comes to Hayden...

Ah yes, its American's fault.

Hayden has never had the strength and fitness of Pedrosa, that why Pedro has performed so much better. Eg. Look at Estoril, Hayden was looking damn good, then as he tired ....... backwards.

You need to get your boy into the gym Jumkie.

The physical dimensions, end-to-end and the ergonomic dimensions ie: distance between seat and pegs, bars, tank etc are

two separate issues. The use of a new engine and the way it mounts into the frame and how that effects ergonomics from

the rider's standpoint clearly made the bike feel small and difficult to maneuver.

I think repsol quite like having a spanish rider if they can find one good enough, which alex criville obviously was and dani is. They have never just randomly put spanish riders in the repsol honda team though, and as you say certainly for honda and very likely for repsol winning a championship takes priority.

Filtered through the english language press which doubtless has a different bias than the spanish press they (meaning repsol honda, not just repsol) seemed strangely unenthusiastic about hayden winning the 2006 championship though, not unprecedented imo in motorsport; ferrari seemed to me anyway to have a similar attitude the year schumacher broke his leg and irvine had a chance of winning the championship but schumacher did not.

exactly.. that was one of the more disappointing things that year.. that was one of the best championships that came down to the absolute wire too.. haha i just started watching every weekend in 2006, and of course defaulted cheering to the american hayden.. watching the way he seemingly didn't get any kind of love in 2007 was rough..

i havent read this whole thread, but ive been wondering the same thing, all i came up with is he's good enough, and capable of a win here and there.. if you have an 800cc past winner (other than the rain specialists) on your team.. you're probably in good shape. i dunno about repsol, but i lost faith in pedrosa winning a championship after lorenzo came up

Well after the shocking news of Stoner's departure at the end of the season what is the feature of the team?? Pedrosa and Lorenzo's contract will end and it seems Marquez is on his way as a rookie. 3 free Spanish top riders with a Spanish sponsor. anybody has an opinion??

Lorenzo on a Yamaha still looks like a stronger combo than Pedrosa on a Honda, so I don't imagine Lorenzo will be eager to make the move, but it does give Lorenzo huge leverage to negotiate with Yamaha, and Rossi now has the chance of regaining a factory M1 if Yamaha get fed up with Lorenzo's stalling.

Pedrosa's seat, almost assured before the announcement, is now just about written in stone. Maybe Bradl or Bautista will fight it out to see who'll keep the factory chair warm for Marquez in 2014.

Assuming that Stoner isn't pulling our legs; after all, he announced he would not race at Motegi last year.

I don't think Stoner leaving is going to let Dani beat Lorenzo any more than he's been doing.

He hasn't had a decent win against Jorge since Suzuka

Regarding the thread topic, I wonder if Pedro sent Casey flowers with a note that says: 'Thanks Casey for making me relevant again.'

Casey just took a second from the lead off everybodies time next year ......... everybody needs to send flowers ........ your sweetheart included.

But no ....... you only want to inflict your purile asinine crap on Pedro

(my favourite rider, maybe )

I'd pay to watch You locked in a room with Puig, and your posts read out to him ....

We all know Pedrosa (In his ROOKIE year) was the quicker and faster teammate then Hayden was in 06' even though the "kentucky Squid" had his accidental championship.

Just remember that Jumkie. Wink wink. Have a nice day, ya chump.

Dani is one of the top 4 riders in the world and deserves a factory seat. Repsol Honda stuck with him when they were not winning titles, they will probably stick with him now that they have a championship rider on the team as well. There can only be one champion when its all said and done, and his teammate will be odds on favorite to be that guy for the next few years at least. If he is popular with the Spanish fans and Repsol likes him, they will more than likely make room for him for at least another 2 year stint. He seems to have accepted his fate as being bridesmaid, so unless he is rocking the boat, keep him around

<
Hope you didn't bet money on this odds on favourite .
