My List

Those who should Get a ride in 2008

1. Ant West, not yet confirmed for 2008 but deserves a ride.

2. Ben Speis. deserves his chance and would bring more american interest <- can't decide if a good thing or not
<

Those who should NOT Get a ride in 2008

1. Loris Caparossi. Not on a factory ducati anyway. His time is up and prob should move onto a smaller team.

2. Carlos Checa, way underperforming compared to Stoner on the LCR last year. Needs to make way for the next new talent.

Keep it clean

Dovizioso deserves a shot.

I'm not sure about West, hes only good in the wet and i feel theres too many average amercans in motogp.

Again, I'm not sure what motorcycle races you are watching! West only good in the wet? I know a good optometrist you can see!
Anyway goodbye Barros, Checa, Capirossi, Edwards!
Bring in Spies, West, Rea and Dovizioso!

I wanna see Rea, Dovi and DeAngelis getting a shot

I wanna see Hoffman, Tamada, and Barros free up some seats.

Who should get a shot:

Chaz, Rea, Toesland, Haslam

Who should get booted out:

Edwards, Barros, Caparossi, Tamada

unfortunately

Can you spot the link in the riders who should get a chance in Motogp (I may be a bit bias)

I don't understand why everyone is convinced that Barros should make way.... He's currently the top non-works rider except for Marco Melandri. He's far ahead of Hoffmann for example who some of you haven't said is wasting a seat. Now I don't think either of them should make way, but at least if you're going to be so strict, be consistent. 9th in the championship and ahead of three works riders including last years champion doesn't sound too shabby to me, but maybe there are those who expect him to be challenging for the title, in which case I think the problem is with the expectations instead of with his riding.

I totally agree "IsraeliRacer" Hayden, Checa, Capirossi, Edwards, Roberts jr and Barros should make way for the talent that is deserving of a motoGP ride!!!...be it 250cc, superbikes (James) etc etc ....and Hoffan is right there on the EDGE!!!....but I will still give him a chance in 2008!!!...

Hayden

As someone said in another thread it took him 4 years to get used to his old bike....can honda really wait til 2011? lol

Guintoli i think should have the chance of a better bike, i quite like him

Melandri is a good rider but hes acted an ..... this season with totally attacking his team

Would be nice to see Toseland but i also think he should stay in superbikes as he's got a good shot of the championship at the moment so he may be just as competitive next year too

Oh for crying out loud. How can you agree with my post if you think Barros should make way?!?! My post was saying that Barros SHOULDN'T make way. I swear you don't even read the posts you quote sometimes!

I'm tellin you, CSCVAW is on another friggin planet all together! There is no point arguing just go with the flow!
Barros has done nothing for years and in no way deserves a GP ride. I thought once he'd gone to WSKB that was it for him, but no, he returns yet again, to run mid pack, boring us all to tears! How long can he go on for?

Funny, I could say the exact same thing about Anthony West o.0 All he's done as far as I recall is won two supersport races, by which qualification Roccoli and Charpentier should both be given a lifetime MotoGP ride. And one or two wet podiums in 250's, by which qualification about 10 250's riders should be moving up next year.

How old is Barros compared to Westy? The guy has been around for the last 2 decades doing nothing, occasionally pulling out a win or podium and he keeps getting a ride! If Ant West, in 5 years time has a record equal to Barros' pathetic one then I'll agree with you!

Being the top non-works rider isn't great really considering how close all the machinary is these days, especially given that we've seen satellite equipment finish runner up to Rossi in the championship a good few times. Barros is only getting worse, and i don't see him ever getting more than the odd podium finish if he sticks around. These are results that we could expect from a young rookie, the difference being that they are likely to pregress forwards and move up the ladder. Barros has nothing more to offer motopg racing.

If Westy finishes in the top 4 of the championship 4 times in his career i will be impressed, i'm not convinced he will get there.

It's time to go;

Barros
Edwards
Tamada
Checa
Hoffman
Loris
Anyone with "Roberts" for a last name

It's time for these blokes to get a go;

Toseland
Dovizioso
de Angelis
Lorenzo
Bautista
Rea (Some of you Brits rave about him ... I'd give him a shot)
Spies

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(krusty @ Jul 29 2007, 12:12 PM) <div class='quotemain'>
Bautista

Its too soon for Alvaro, he needs more 250 experience for sure.

He has shown this year that he is capable of beating all the 250 contenders (in his rookie year in that class). If some of them are moving up then why not him?! He has plenty of GP experience! Age isn't a problem ... he's older than Casey! Just my opinion ... I rate him!

But its obvious he has been riding on the ragged edge all season long to keep up with the top guys. At times he can do it but overall he isnt cutting it yet and he needs to settle down and learn. Don't ghet me wrong, he is having a fantastic rookie season and i think he will be the champion next year, but i think he is yet to master the 250 and until he does i dont think he is ready to move up.

Gone
Barros
Edwards
Checa
Tamada
Hofmann
Roberts (both)
Capirossi

In

Rea
Kiyo
DeAngelis
Dovi
Toseland
Spies
West

We have seen the best of Barros, thats why he should go. His best now is one podium a year. The 'in' boys have the chance to improve, they may not achieve what Barros has, but we'll never know if he and the rest of the 'gone' crew keep their seats.
