What Is The Best Circuit??

I've only been to 2 circuits which are Phillip Island and Eastern Creek but Phillip Island has always been one of the best circuits on the motoGP circus. Turn 1 going down to southern loop is friggin amazing to watch. I was standing right on the corner at the first turn when Capirex crashed in practice in 2005. Very Scary seeing someone come off at that pace. The whole circuit is easy to walk around with so many excellent spots to watch motorcycle racing.

As for Eastern Creek, except for turn 1 it is a crap, boring circuit!!

The isle of man mountain circuit is like nothing else in the world, but if talking about closed circuits then i'll say Brands Hatch grand prix circuit.

Spa-Francorchamps, beautiful surroundings, awesome layout, and probably the most fearsome corner on the planet.

Too many to name. Suzuka probably my favorite overall but I really enjoy Mugello, Laguna Seca, Assen, Sachsenring and, as many of you know, Road America.

well if were talkin circuits that i've actually been to then i'd say hmmmmm... i've only been to laguna & assen. both are great. buuuut i'd have to say laguna over assen. laguna was just amazing in atmosphere the crowd & the general show. even tho the 125s & 250s were'nt there
<
there was just so much kool stuff goin on. walkin around the track was great so many great views & of course the corkscrew..... well tv just does'nt do it justice! it's also in the sweet part of california so after the racing theres all kinds of stuff to see & do.
<
as for tv viewing it would have to be between laguna, mugello phillip island & turkey...

why is it that most people only like the old assen?? you should see the new one! the new corner is amazing to watch and it's very very fast, the new tribune is good too, a bit far of the track I have to say, but you can see so many things from the new tribune.

spa franchorchamps is great, I've been there a couple of times with the old classic races with Will Hartog and Agostini etc. it's very fast, and that corner rouge is fantastic

assen is great too, especially the place I sat: the veensland/stekkenwal

but my favourite track has to be istanbul

haven't been there, and I only base it on the things I've seen on tv, but it looks awsome how the riders come out of one corner and go up the hill

that brands circuit is brilliant!, however out of all the tracks in the world Cadwell Park is my favourite, it consits of so many different parts....not to mention the mountian!!

The new Assen is good, but let down by that silly little left hander where they almost stop. But we forgive Donington for the Melbourne Loop so i guess Assen is still excellent too.

There isn't much wrong with the circuit, but what it was makes it seem worse than it is

It's scary enough on TV, can't imagine how it looks when you're there... I love Laguna (that's the only part of USA that I wish to visit).

I love Spa Francochamps, although I never watched bikes there.

Istanbul, Mugello

Its just a shame that its so narrow and dangerous.

That little chicane they had to put in it after Kagayama's crash is rubbish, bit of a shame really.

It is but the rest of the track is fantastic, and club racing miss out that chicane anyway so club racing is still great to watch and participate in at Cadwell.

I like the fast, flowing tracks. Places like Hockenheim, Spa-Francochamps, Suzuka, Assen, Phillip Island, Salzburgring, the old Paul Ricard (with the massive Mistral Straight). More often than not the racing was close with so many places for passing attempts.

Of the current circuits, other than Phillip Island, I quite Jerez, Mugello, Catalunya and Brno. Actually, I'd say Istanbul Park is right up there too. If the 2nd US GP falls through, I hope they find a way to keep it on the calendar.

One for the Aussies on the forum: It'd never happen in a million years (and not just because of the obvious safety issues), but could you imagine the MotoGP bikes flying around Mount Panorama? Heading up Mountain Straight, across Skyline, or through the Dipper, or seeing them open it right up down Conrod Straight...

That'd be incredible for sure, but its never going to happen.
