Well Done Bradley!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Jan 31 2007, 07:10 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>If dunlop can get to s standard where more than one team is willing to run them, then the rate of improvement would start to rise quickly. This could then lead to a third competative tire brand. But first they need to get themslefes up to a more respectable level now. Their hopes rest on Tamada to sort it out this year, so i don't think its gonna be enough.

Tamadareally likes the Dunlops (but who wouldn't if they were paying your salary?), but I can't see anything above mild improvement for Dunlop this year, and that will still leave them far behind. The new tyre rule should work to thier advantage, though.

Going back on track.. me thinks.. I think the switch from M to Bstone is a good move for Gresini.. The logic behind it is that in tracks where M prevailed, the Repsol and Yamaha team will dominate.. in Bridgestone tracks, only Loris dominated. Furthermore, bstone are known for their front end feel so this helps Melandri as he is one of the kings of late brakers. The only thing is that Bstone needs to build a new profile for Honda.. they can compare data with regards to the wear and tear of the tires with respect to other teams but each bike will affect tires differently... it will be a good move for Gresini and hopefully Melandri in 08.. maybe they will win a couple of races as well.

I'd say unless Melandri wins a couple of races, it's a bad move. He's done pretty well at Gresini, if he gets through the season without winning a race it will be his worst year since Tech3.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! this is a funny thread. i know its all done and dusted but ive only just joined so...

wow, bradley never ceases to amaze me - he is definately gonna be one to look out for in the future

Bradley hasn't amazed me yet, but i am expecting him to improve. I think its important not to blow him out of proportion and get excited like hes gonna be amazing. It can stilll go either way. Lets hope he goes up.

Ah but mate, you know the British press. If they can blow Pilchard Shapattishatti and a dead pidgeon in Cornwall out of proportion, they will do the same for Bradley. This is the big problem hes facing in the next few years. Its been a fundamental problem with British sport, when one looks like they are about to shine, the media puts the hopes of the nation on their shoulders. And usually its too heavy.

My thoughts exactly. To an extent its ruined Jenson Button, however I think theres time for him to flourish. This year he could be a dark horse.
