I do understand that somebody had to talk with stoner to tell him he shouldn't go on cruise-control when he's on perfect line in the final seconds of quali, and I thought the 'somebody' should've been dani pedrosa, and I'm sure pedro has made that clear already...

fineing him is blowing the whole thing out of proportions (although I'm sure stoner earns that much every year, he certainly won't go bankrupt because of the 1000,-

Hey, I know what the MotoGP officials should do seeing as how they are feeling in the mood for dishing out dicipline, take 1 point away from Rossi for his infraction of the rules then the last race would be winner takes all between Hayden and Rossi

SuperBike planet has in my eys no credibility what so ever. Their over extreeme biased articles are to me by all means BS in capital letters.

Doing what Stoner did _was_ dangerous and detroyed for several riders.
In superbikeplanet thats transforms into:
<<Stoner was a victim of circumstance, nothing more, as was clear to anyone watching that had half a brain engaged.>>

Let's hear superbikeplanet apply the same rules to the Perdrosa/Hayden incident. << Hayden should know that this is how racing are. He should cheered Pedrosa and the gravel trap slap him friendly on the sholder and say something like "nice try". To blame him, punish him or anything is "For me, this is ludicrous in the extreme." "Pedrosa was a victim of circumstance, nothing more, as was clear to anyone watching that had half a brain engaged>

babelfish has a point, I too think that site is acting a bit despising about the whole situation. I don't like the style and the formulation either of that colum

They are very pro-Honda and Hayden.
Look all over site, you can gather details. Honda sponsors a few things on there. And, its a (mostly) American ran website.

I still like it though, they update it frequently and have interesting posts.

the point was about the fine to stoner for a minor gaff. petty to say the least. & the way punishment is dolled out by race control. seems spaniards & italians are imune from such thing's.... but we all knew that already. & what the hell does stoner getting fined have to do with the hayden/pedrosa debacle?

I think that Stoner just had a quick brain-freeze and didn't really know what he was doing, it happens to all of us!!

It didn't look as if he was stopping to do a practice start and he also said he was trying to move out the way of Pedrosa and the others but couldn't. I think he's been let off quite lightly by the fans and us Moto GP pundits now because the Pedrosa on Hayden situation has seemed to of taken over.

there was a thread about this yesterday and, as someone pointed out, the fine is hardly going to bust Stoners pocket is it ?

according to Stoner (via Eurosport) he wasn't slowing down to do a practice start - he was merely slowing down and merely mis-judged the speed at which pedrosa was travelling.

school boy error perhaps but hardly worth all the fuss ?

I wonder if Crasheyboppers are still gonna accuse Pedrosa of being a "cheater" because "he stays out after his hot lap to slow other riders down" now?
