if enough stink caused they might just rethink.

Copy this message to other moto forums
and sorry for my English

that news just ruined the rest of my life. I can't explain how pissed I am.
here, eurosport is all I've got. I'm pretty sure no TV station would buy rights for moto gp.

good bye moto gp
<

(of course I'll find the way, but it wouldn't be the same)

is there possibility for toby, julian and randy on some other TV station?

Agree to some extent, but reckon that the perfect BBC line-up for next year should be Suzi, Jules & Toby.

This news is crazy ! I hear dorna want people to see it for free ? They shot themselves in the foot I think.
What will Toby and Julian do ?
If the BBC got them theyd be laughing ! Parish and Cox are .....
The dude from MotoGP.com is cool.
Cant believe it.

They shot themselves in the foot I think. No way, terrestrial/free to air television has the biggest audiences which will draw more sponsors to the sport. The pay-per-view sport revolution is coming to an end, it's just dawned on them how much they have reduced their audiences by limiting them that way. Boxing & Grand Slam Darts on ITV in the UK have shown how much bigger an audience they can get, & how much more advertising interest & hence revenue can be generated if they go free to air. Rupert Murdoch is going to have me killed for even suggesting this.

I'm so old I remember when Eurosport was free, them were the days.

about time, this is great news for terrestial viewers... the bigger majority.

my only concern is will we get Friday, Sat, Sunday from the BBC.

I've just taken a look at the BBC schedule and no Assen Qualifying... sometimes they skip it

Last year they didn't show the Laguna race live either. We'll have to wait until about a week before next season starts before BBC make any announcements about changes. It wouldn't surprise me if they show all sessions, it wouldn't cost anything with the live feeds for motogp.com being available.

's'all 'bout Xclusivity

This is very sad news about Eurosport, although having ad breaks in the middle of races is annoying, I prefer Moody, Ryder and Mamola to the BBC's commentary team. Could this mean the end of FP2, qualifying and 125 and 250 coverage. You can't add red button broadcasts to the planner either, because they don't appear like regular shows. This is like when ITV got BSB.

Ye i'm pretty gutted aboutt his too, the banter between all the commentators on Eurosport is second to none, cant stand Parrish and that other twit!

Dorna are fuckwits

This seriously f'kin sucks BIG time - like others here, the only reason I got sky was for Eurosports MotoGP coverage.

Goat - do you remember when the beeb cut the last 5 laps of a very close race a few years ago, to put a REPEAT of a rugby game on?

Well, thats how much they like motorsport - MotoGP will always play second fiddle to every other sport they have, F1, snooker, darts, rugby, footy ....... horse jumping.

Me thinks a petition needs to be set-up.....

Me thinks a petition needs to be set-up.....I don't remember that, but things have changed now. As recently as 2005 BBC were only showing Sunday races & no early mornings (Motegi, PI etc) but in the last two years they have only missed one live race (Laguna). I think on the interactive side the only sports that will get in the way could be snooker & tennis, because they have many tables & courts to cover & may take up our interactive space.

There are two problems with BBC coverage I've just thought of, its become very JT centred. & Often they cut away just before the podium. Again the second problem you may be able to get around using interactive, I'll watch it this weekend & see what the deal is with 800 coverage on the red button.

Personally I like to watch the main BBC feed because like Rog I don't pay much attention to commentators...& I want to bum Suzi Perry.
