The Camel Yamaha Bike Pics

it's just strange to see him on a camel..
wonder if the livery will change at all for when the season starts?

I like the new helmet, but coudn't they do a better/refreshing job on the bikes?? it looks like the camel of barros! they coud have done amazing things with the colors, I find it a bit disapointing, hopefully they are going to change the looks a bit later on

I agree with you 46marijke69. They can make it look alot better. Still i really like them and the 06 M1. It looks smaller than previous years.

Not saying it looks the same, but it reminds me of the Laguna Seca job.
Don't mind it.
Since the introduction of 4 strokes to GP, and the factories getting real serious about it, sponsors have lost the perogative they used to have to choose riders that appeal to their target market, due to the fact that the team's want to choose riders in accordance with their stratergies.
To rob the sponsors of their right to paint the bikes how they want would be a sure way to chase them all away. That said, camel are in need of an image update on the whole.

as i have nothing else todo for the mean time, ive been sat here starring at the "Camel's" ... fcuk me, i wasn't sure at first but they look so good after a long look at!

I like them, very similar to the USGP Yamahas. The paintwork is nearly exactly the same as Pons Honda was in previous years but there isn't a whole lot they could do to change it. I like it.

I was hoping they would do something different than that...meh...not impressed.

Camel could change their logo to yellow background with white stripes and black squares. That'd look good on a cigarette pack

Question for anyone.

Why did biaggi and barros have there last names on the bike over where camel in blue goes? i noticed it was not in every race. Will rossi do the same thing?

I think they look absolutely stunning....its nice to see the M1 in a different suit. The bike seems to look good whatever!

They did a bit of cross dressing last year, though. Wonder how Galouses felt about Laguna Seca and Valencia.

Yamaha's contrct with Gauloises was only for 15 rounds so they could be branded as Yamaha Motor Corp. for two rounds with 50th Anny livery.

No they did not specify the rounds. The yellow and black LS was thought to be one since it was near their anniversary and then we thought they would do it in Motegi with their red and white bike to do the 50th anniversary Japanese style. They did it in Valencia though.

I've never seen the red and white colours before. What era were they from? Who wore them and where?
