Of course Honda has clout, just like Ferrari has clout in F1. They have earned it by being mainstays in the series, but its a stretch to say that Yamaha votes against their best interest because they are afraid of some kind of Honda retribution. All is fair in love and war, and im sure Honda has tried every trick in the book to bury Yamaha in the business world and the racing world, yet there they stand. Yamaha respects Honda for what they are, an entity that wants to win at any cost. It makes their .... hard just thinking about beating them.

There are only 2 teams that are able to get a championship, not EVEN that, just a win. Mind as well just have factory motorcycles racing around and let go of the 'little' folks with dreams.
Wait, that's HONDA right? You think they will ever let their satellite production bikes win over HRC? NO. So they purposely make customer bikes not up to spec.......... I can understand in a way but, that is not fair at all. In an interview I've read on Redding's manager on Crash, Redding had a choice of the Yamaha ride that Pol had? And that the manager kind of regretted going to Honda, and that the only reason why the deal was sign because Honda promised factory support in Redding's second year? Yamaha at least is willing to sacrafice and share to a point, to get whatever they can get, show's that Yamaha is behind the 8 ball if you will, when it comes to fighting with the mighty Honda..... whereas Honda will rather let their customers suffer then even get a fighting chance at their own factory outfit. Meaning Honda DOES have alot of clout.
