Just to follow up my previous post in this thread:
I took my wife grocery shopping yesterday. It was astounding to see just how many people were spending five or six bucks a pop at the Starbucks stand inside the store. One dude bought his whole family these big ... chocolate drinks.
He easily spent $25. That's his prerogative, but it's a lot of cash for something that's gone in 15 minutes.

Mate Starbucks coffee is the worst coffee you could ever drink, it goes well with Kraft chocolate.
BTW do you IRS have trouble getting any tax out of them, they don't pay any here.

I agree Pov but 10 years ago it was a hundred dollars cheaper.
I don't think it's too expensive now, it was so undervalued before the relative short term skyrocketing of price, makes it seem as if their gouging you.

You're right. They are the most over rated coffee product out there, but people buy the .... like it's gold.

Down here in the desert, we have fricking drive thru liquor stores. Lines are around the corner a lot of times.
Get wasted on liquor in the evening and then go to Starbucks in the morning to help with the hangover.
Then complain all day about the cost of living.
Rinse.....

It can be rough living where everyone vacations. Ask Povol
Traffic is a nightmare from all the UK and Pacific Northwest tourists trying to warm up and dry off.
The Keys were especially bad yesterday. It was freezing at 300' altitude. Temperatures must have dropped down to 75.

Oh yeah... and Floriduh is largely peopled by sun-wrinkled people who're chronically insecure because they live in a cultural void that has made them the butt of many of the funniest jokes. Floriduh has over the years become the comedic code word for provincial. Floriduh a state that has virtually no industry except Spring Break and exports nothing except indigestion and sunburn.

Why is it a group of people will abandon a region because of bad politics only to try and institute those same bad politics where they relocate. We have the halfbacks here. These are the ones who couldn’t assimilate in Florida, got halfway home and discovered paradise. We welcome them with the warning that they leave their politics behind and for the most part they do.

I would argue that there's no such thing as good politics, but let's not get into that.
There is a saying down here, " we don't care how you do it up north "
I laugh when people disparage Florida because they don't consider that most people in Florida aren't from here. It's the most transient state in the union.
Those people your making fun of very well could have come from your state.
