It's actually a feature. If you have the Motogp season pass there is a series on Marc's season too. Interesting to see the difference in approaches. One stand out is the grief Dovi was getting from Gigi. Also the dynamic between him and Petruz is very interesting. Dovi was very keen to put him in his place during one particular conversation about a front end slide Petrucci had.

A riveting (for me anyway) feature on Dovi. Loved it. Thanks Ratdeal.

It's a great insight into the mental side of an athlete completing at the highest level. It seemed very real, understandable and demonstrates how much performance is affected by mental application.

The pressure and exploitative atmosphere in a garage where results are everything and the rider, that variable and unknown quantity. If the rider delivers then a synergy occurs that makes the exploitative atmosphere not as evident with all the success. One may say that the rider is being paid a lot etc., but it isn't without a lot of hard work. Dovi seemed to have an attitude of self-belief that was essential for his mental stability under such circumstances.

I find it odd that he'd get another opportunity through Yamaha and really don't expect much more than I'm currently seeing. Maybe they took him on as a development rider as much as a competitor. He's, IMO, in the absolute twilight of his career.
