Stupid videopass so pissed

I'm probably gonna get scorched here but whatever.

On the surface, $179 seems like a lot of money to pay up front- and it is.

But that is $3.44 a week for a product that you can access on demand 24/7/365.
With access to all sessions from races going back years.

I know people that spend 5 or 10 dollars a DAY on Starbucks or Big Gulps five or six days a week and don't give it a second thought.

Try to see the forest through the trees.

All that being said, I do agree with the gripes about auto-renewal. It is not unique to Moto GP Video Pass but is definitely B.S.
No torch here, you are absolutely right. People daily piss away money on meaningless .... because it gives them pleasure but want to ..... about something that costs less than 50 ....... cents a day, one half of a damn coke for a pleasure you can use literally 24/7 if you want. I call ......... all the time when a customer tells me “ oh, I can’t afford that extra 15-20 bucks a month”. Yet they drop 10 bucks a day on lunch, 4-5 bucks a day on coffee, smokes, energy drinks etc etc. I will simply ask the guy if that new bike he desires is worth giving up one little vice a day and they almost always will come to the conclusion they can. Some people just like to ......

Absolutely agree. It remains one of the world’s greatest entertainment bargains for a price you could easily spend on a single restaurant dinner for 2.

In real terms yes it is value for money, but who wants to hear it in silence because of the annoying commentators who aren't worth anything. Plus of course lining the Spanish Mafia's pockets.

I get the races on cable TV anyway but like the live timing and coverage of practice, and occasionally watch old races, but agree the commentary has been close to unendurable in recent years.

Over here its BT sports or nothing and they are just as annoying as motogp as well, plus of course at £25 a month are a total rip off if you only watch motogp.

Agreed. I love the video pass. I have it for both GP and SBK. I think it's a great value. I can watch the races no matter where I am live without regard for local coverage. I also find the interviews to be valuable.

While I wouldn't offer, I'd be willing to pay more if needed.

Agree 100%.

In the UK alone, you have to pay over $200 a year for a "TV Licence" just to be able to watch TV. That's on top of the god knows how much a month you have to pay to get BT Sport.

I wouldn't call myself cheap you dipshit, just currently unemployed due to the mining downturn where i live, when i move and get work again i will be able to lavish on luxuries, right now i've a wife and kids to feed..

Don't take it personal bro. I've stopped responding to Synnthia who seems to be permanently on the rag. She can't help lashing out at random. Maybe after her womb is removed, she'll calm down.

Yes, but you get to watch all those Benny Hill re-runs on the Beeb commercial free. :p

Not responding directly, but still can't curb the impulse to talk about him but still thinks he's not troll feeding.

You've embarrassed yourself enough lately.

You should think about quitting this place, and spending more time with your girlfriend Siri

As much time as you and Twatlock spend jerking each other off, you two should move the conversation over to Grinder. Clearly just the presence of Kesh makes you two hard.

The weird thing is - it's not really "about" anything that these guys say it is. It's all about the ridiculous idea that there is a power struggle of some kind, but the power to do what??? Alpha male types invest into the illusion that there is some kind of social hierarchy convincing themselves there is some "position" to attain, as if someone is going to take the other guy down and run the forum. There's no leader. It's free-form. If I thought there was really a king of the hill, I wouldn't even try to go near that. Too many people on this forum who are ....-loads smarter and more knowledgeable than me. That's not false modesty. It's just true.

I thought I was the Alpha male!?

But thats because of my ability to state "Alphaget all about what folk write in 30 seconds ..... so what they wrote means nothing .... soon." :D

Even if you watch on free tv you are lining Dorna’s pocket. Life isn’t a charity, I don’t begrudge people making money. Video Pass is an honest service at an honest price in my book. It’s worth it to me to NOT see the mindless commercials that clog the airwaves and cost me not seeing a third of every race.

No commercials in FREE live feeds... why pay when free options abound?

.50 cents a day is worth my piece of mind to be legal and not being hacked by some Russian guy eating corn chips in his basement.
