Stoner threatens to leave MotoGP over rules

If we aren't trying to figure out what's going on, why do we post? I can read press releases and interviews just as well as the next guy. If we can't speculate as to their frame of mind or the meaning of their statements (in the context of the sport), we will end up passing judgment on the riders.



I wish more people would try to read between the lines b/c we have more than enough people playing good vs evil.

There is a difference between speculation and believing your can read minds . If you have followed the threads lately you will be aware that some stoner fans believe they have this super power. Infact i have been critsized for not being able to read the minds of riders on track. Some members have posted the thoughts they have mind read and got very upset with no-believers like myself.

Are you a mind reader Lex or just a speculator ? You see im interested because speculation is just opinion but mind reading is fact.
 
I think nobody wants to transform MotoGP into a stock-derived series. What Dorna are trying to do, is to help the birth and growth of new competitive teams that will have nothing to do with the traditional manufacturers, other than maybe buying engines from them.They have written in the new rules (afaik) that CRT engines can be derived from stock: they've laid down the specifications, like 81mm bore, etc.-- but have they said anywhere that CRT engines must be derived from stock? Probably not. They want to leave that window open. Inmotec is a pure prototype, for instance. They hope that teams like Red Bull in F1 can materialize in MotoGP as well.

Dorna had to do something at the end of the day. Its not like there are several manufacturers queing up to build and race prototypes. I started to worry when Team KR quit, Then Ilmore came but went in no time at all. Kawasaki left , suzuki stayed under protest but only ran 1 bike.

Anyone who can not see a problem in this series must be focusing their attention on something else other that the sport as a whole.

And its true Jum does like Casey, more than many anyway... he thinks its an issue, meh, I don't. Unless it becomes a recurring theme to me its just a one-off comment with little or no ulterior motive.

Spot on Compa, doesnae matter what w write, if it doesnae say "Stoner is amazing and I wish I was Adriana so he could back it in to me regularly" the spencer fans read it as "Stoner is ....., Rossi is God" or as you say "woof woof woof" More ....... spanners than JB's toolbox in here sometimes

It's a worrying time Rog, there has tae be changes, when KR went it was a sign of things to come, Kawasaki jumping ship was another omen. We need bigger grids or it's just going to dissapear into irrelevence

Dont know but id love to see that team back. Maybe shelved moto2 in favor of CRT. I can wish.

I can read your mind - "What has that .... little Aussie said that I can turn into a ..... fight on the forum", "How can I make Stoners wins look undeserved", "How can I discredit Stoner" etc. People are reacting to your comments, this is why threads are turning into ..... You insert little quips & comments into threads against Stoner hoping to get a reaction & when they react you get all high & mighty, demanding sources & quotes. Below is a case in point. The Development Rider thread was going along nicely until this little gem from you.

This is wriiten purely to get a reaction from Stoner fans. When they react, you go on a crusade about I didn't say this or you misunderstood what I was saying, when it is clear for all to see. Some support your view & some don't (you're not getting much love on the Development Thread-fighting that one on your own).



I find it great entertainment & what I like about this forum, but if you are going to light a fire, don't whinge when others try to put it out.

Casey is great at jumping on someones elses bike and winning on it. 07 he jumps on Capi developed bike and wins wc, Then his input over the next 2 years reaps .... all and develops a pig. He jumps on Dani's bike in 2011 and wins wc. Lets hope for caseys sake they listen to dani and not stoner.

Want to debate facts or just play the tribal game ? Every thread thats not sucking stoners .... is spoiled as far as fanboys like you are concerned. As for the other thread, why not debate me on points in that thread? You got no balls !

I'm debating the fact that you turn every thread into .... by taking pot shots at Stoner any chance you get. That is a fact.

All true, but people are already looking to the future. Ezpeleta has said that CRT is the future of MotoGP and that all bikes will be CRT. He also said that he doesn't want to pay the manufacturers for their exotic prototype technology. Hard to know what he meant by it. All bikes will be 81mm-24L-1000cc with 12 engines and spring valves? All engines will be production-based?Honda seem to think Ezpeleta wants production-based engines, and Nakamoto reminded Ezpeleta that developing a bike through production-channels is far more expensive than prototyping.



Personally, I don't think CRT production-based engines are the future of MotoGP b/c I don't think Dorna can enforce production-derived engines. The manufacturers will sell advanced prototype-like engines. Price controls won't work b/c the manufacturers will sell at a loss, and homologation restrictions will start a spiral of regulatory complications that raise costs for the sanctioning body. Just ask the FIA.

but why do you assume that dani is a better bike developer than casey?4 years as hrc lead rider and nothing to show for it and yet you somehow manage to make it appear he is the better developer.its no surprise stoner fans take offense to your statements, not because your not "sucking his ...." (i hate that phrase) but because you deliberatly belittle his skills by making him look inferior to a guy that didn't pull it after 5 years on what is argubly one of the best, if not the best seat in gp

I didn't say dani was the better developer. I said casey jumped on Dani's bike with no input from himself and won. I say its dani's bike because if you read what everybody has been saying for the past 4 years then you will know everything at HRC was done for and around dani.
 
so dani is not responsible for his bike but casey is?
