My mother is less hysteric than that. And that says a great deal.

He was teaching us how to not think about title but he seems to be dreaming with it already.

Last race I am sure Stoner was afraid too and create a psychologic nightmare with a non-existent lateral wind feeling and lose the race to his fear. Now, he simply lose the race to his fear again.

The man dominated the sessions and during the race creates an unreal enemy and concedes the race.

Really, to be championship leader is getting up on his head.

Whats all the fuss about,Casey made the most of a bad job and kept himself in the consistency bubble.As has just been stated,Nicky didn`t have to win every race last year but he still came away with the title and Casey has obviously learnt from this.`Kin `ell if he won every race we`d soon have the knockers out moaning about how boring it was getting as we`ve had happen before in the Rossi era (and we still can`t rule out Vale).

His main rival crashed, he did not. 5th place if i was in his position I would do the same.... He has a healthy lead now, Rossi / Danni will find it hard to win the championship.

Don't blame him for thinking about the Championship. It's so close to him over half the season gone.

Soldiers on the battlefield are fearful (afraid) of their death but are far from cowards.

There is a reason why fear and coward are different words. Stoner rode very well for the circumstances in the race.

I can't see I'd be too stressed if I was in his position.

He leads the world championship by a bigger points margin after this race
He is 21 and has a factory Ducati MotoGP ride for the next few years
He lives in Monaco with his 18 year old wife!
He has already stated that this season is a dream even if it doesn't get any better!

There is a lot to like about where he is at the moment.

I think the increased race day temperature hurt the Bridgestone runners (except Capperex who was running a different tyre and desperately needed a result)!

It's funny that Stoner's ride was considered cowardly by gui22a. He encountered a problem he had not experienced with the tyres before. The most likely response when encountering an unexpected problem is to conserve, it's clever.

The practice sessions are not only for gaining race setup but also to eliminate uncertainties from the race. Ducati, Stoner and Bridgestone were confident with tyre selection and race pace. The race panned out differently and Stoner thought his tyre would fail, it didn't and he now knows if he encounters the problem again he'll push harder. Stoner has information he didn't have previous to this round, he now knows what the Ducati and Bridgestone combination on really ...... tyres will do.

Stoner a chicken?..my ... he is. Hopper said it was more slippery that in the rain with the Bridgers they had on. So he looked at them and they looked okay but the feeling when they are scorching hot and under intense cornering pressure is different than looking at a cooled off tire.

So Sunday Stoner got 20 points on Rossi, story over. He couldn't even have dreamed to get 5 points before the race. The pressure is all on Rossi now and his bike isn't as perfect as it seems it was in Assen. He had a bad time at Laguna last year. I wonder how hot it will be in California this year, over 60C like last year? The track temps in Germany were 55C!! I have ridden a track day at 56C and you don't want to even be there.

Stoner is playing to win the title and that is smart beyond his years.

Whie my team disintegrates...
