The ugliness you see in 'his fans' is nothing less than a reflection of your own malignant personality.  Measured criticism is fine, but people are tired of the the relentless, foaming malice you heap upon Casey at every available opportunity.  And when those people start to throw your .... back at you, you whine and cry about how bitchy they are.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mylexicon @ Feb 10 2010, 04:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Ben's got it. He earned 3 consecutive AMA superbike titles by beating the greatest AMA SBK champion of all time. He broke the pole record, won 14 races, and won the WSBK title in his maiden season. He won his WSBK title on a bike he'd never ridden before (it's maiden season), on tires he'd never ridden before, and at tracks he had never seen before.

He's like Rossi in regards to his ability to find extra time on the brakes, and he is pretty good at avoiding injury (knock on wood). Like Rossi, Ben has only one problem, imo---Casey Stoner.

Casey's raw speed makes him a very difficult adversary for the race strategists.

I'm not saying Casey doesn't have race craft or equal talent b/c clearly he does, I'm just saying, when Casey is in the zone, other riders can't think their way past him. They have to cut corners or hope he falls.

Well, Rossi learned that very early on

Hey, that there on your chin in your avatar. Is that some leavins from your casey stoner rim job?

A comment from outside the box from me: I really cant get my head around the CS bashing ,so when I read it time after time (yawn) I just refer my memory back to Phillip Island in `09 and Casey`s performance on raceday.Need I add anymore?

He has hardly even started and he has already thrown a lot into the mix ........ gotta be a good thing for MGP, I must admit if one was to go on mentallity alone (from what I've seen/heard ) I'd put him in the Rossi and Stoner ward. I don't see him as a Pedrosa or Lorenzo.

I'm just wary of history on SBK riders coming to MGP, but lets face it another Stoner or Rossi in the mix will be a good thing.

So I can't wait to see how he goes.

I just hope that if things don't work out he doesn't get the public treatment that JT got. But thats gotta be the hard bit for guys coming in with a lot of expectation.
A clear, concise post, ignoring the mudslinging and staying on topic. Kudos, Barry, I'm impressed. Please give us more of this!!

Geonard is a class act and you are looking like the new Pinky of the forum. In fact I don,t even remember Pinky attacking Haydens personality the way you repeatedly and pathologically attack Stoners. (Jumkie may want to correct me on this)

Did Casey kill a family member or something??
We all know he doesn,t have the outgoing nature and charisma that Rossi has, but he certainly doesn,t deserve the constant remorseless criticisms emanating from your self. Sure he,s made a few mistakes in the past, but does that mean you must condemn him forever? Have you ever been faultless yourself?

I,m not sure that I,ve ever claimed to be a strong Stoner fan: I am mainly motivated by responding to what I believe is excessive and unwarranted criticism. Bayliss was my hero, but I find great pleasure in watching motorcycle geniuses in action. Stoner, like Rossi, is one of them........

Why do you always make me do this? Are you caseys mother or something? First yes geonard is a classy guy, whether he liked my joke or not I think he understood that it was a joke, and I was provoked into it was I not? Secondly, what I say and what I do has nothing to do with Rossi. Yes I am a fan but he is not above my belittling, only ben spies is. Why do people only care when cs is made fun of? Look at it as all in good fun. I have a very hardcore sense of humor, no doubt. Some people on here love it others most definitely hate it. But one things is for certain, there is no malice behind any of it. If something bad ever happened to casey or any other motogp rider I would be as upset as anyone.

Me and my friends rib each other this hard on a daily basis. But people who know me know I am not and mean person, I just have a mean sense of humor. Some of the guys have met me in real life can vow that I am a swell guy. If you don't find me funny my suggestion would be to block me.

I don't think blocking people helps. The problem is people behaving in ways that, when pulled up on their behaviour, results in a "I'm not really against XXX, but he's a wnker".

The implication is that they feel that the people here are being overbearing and boring (ie behaving like your mum - this afflicts people of all ages - don't try to call me ageist
<
).

The thing is, on a forum such as this, either it degenerates into name calling and playground talk, or it transcends the uninvolved media that it is (ie many of us sat, tapping keyboards and reading screens, a world apart but with a common enjoyment - motorcycle racing) into a forum to exchange ideas, meet others and generally have more fun than you could do just following your chosen sport on your own.

In general, I find that the sickness of any forum (bitching about riders, each other, etc) is much worse in the off-season when we are all bored. Hopefully health will return at the end of the month with the 2nd MotoGP test and WSBK at PI.

Until then. chill!

Nobody is making you do anything. You bring this on yourself with your
relentless attempts at high school level humor all focused on Stoner
because like most high school bullies - you will do whatever seems
the right thing to do to be amongst the "popular" crowd. It's the
juvenile heard instinct to go after the weakest (or what appears
the weakest) member of the heard in order to establish dominance.
When you came to forum - you duly noted a few of the more hormonal
members of the forum making jokes about Stoner and like a typical
hormonal teenager - you decided the course of action necessary to
join the heard - would be to relentlessly insult the geeky looking
Stoner. Your pattern of behavior is so transparent.

I would block you but once in a blue moon you actually say something based on a
rational chain of thoughts - rather than just blurting out your usual ill-considered
opinions, which are never really based on any logical thought.

It's kinda like some dipshit walking up to someone from behind and going boo! It's sort of funny
the first time - but that .... gets old quickly. You haven't been "funny" for a long long time.
If you behave in a mindlessly antisocial behavior guaranteed to alienate half the people on
the forum - then be prepared to take your lumps and stop whining when people call you

Actually the first time I made a joke out of stoner was after my first post, that was a honest question. You as usual turned it on me belittling me, saying I was an ..... and didn't know .... about motogp. Well no .... thats why I asked the question. None of this was ever my intent. Like I said I and the people around me have a sick sense of humor, I guess. I find it funny and so do some others. Never once have I wined about what people say back to me, I just make jokes back. Unlike yourself and many others, who don't have the ability to laugh at yourself or your "idols" who are in the public spotlight. You all always get all mad and say, how dare u? or there same old high school bully metaphor. So don't say I am the one who wines. Thats ......... But what I do have is a heart, and a lot of love for motogp. So with that said, since it is such a big of a deal, I will leave this forum. I love all things motogp before it, and I will love motogp after it.

It'd be a shame if you left - far better to transcend the squabbling and just "love motogp" (assuming Dorna haven't turned it into "a magnificent game of chance with the added allure of high speed vacuuming" or somesuch whilst I've not been looking!) along with the majority of us here.

"Up to You", as the Thai's say.

Dude. You claim you're not a mean person, yet that's exactly the impression I (and apparently many others) get.  You posts are a non-stop, one-dimensional tirade of sexual vulgarities, delivered in a tone that strongly suggests you are NOT joking.  Virtually every one of your messages is laced with words like "...." "...-licker" ".........." etc.  Why?  (Is ... such a horrible thing?)  A few f-bombs are fine, when saved for special occasions and used for effect,  but IMO your posts are WAY beyond that level.  The language is relentlessly angry, coarse and vulgar, and quickly becomes tiresome.  Further, the object of your ire, Stoner, is not widely seen as some raging ....... who deserves the abuse.  (And yes, your posts would get old even if you were bashing the universally loathed Alberto Puig.)  You claim to love bike racing, yet you seldom participate in discussions about the actual racing.  My perception is that 95% of your effort is focused on bashing people, either Stoner or those you see as his fans.  "Some fun, huh, Bambi!?"

Powerslide is the closest thing to an outlaw forum I've come across.  I've yet to encounter any other discussion group where a member can berate the moderator as being a 'Nazi .....!' without getting instantly, permanently, banned.  If you're pissing off THIS group, you must be doing something exceptional.

For what it's worth (Yea, I know!
<
), my purely personal experience suggests that most people with a 'mean sense of humor' are seldom the nice guys they claim.  The excuse, "I was just kidding!" only goes so far.  IMO, if you find mean, malicious jokes funny, you are probably an angry, malicious person.

To tell the truth, your posts sorta remind me of this guy:

Humor is the only test of gravity, and gravity of humor; for a subject which will not bear raillery is suspicious, and a jest which will not bear serious examination is false wit.

Aristotle

Andy Kaufman had a flair for "sick humor".

What you pass off as ribbing - is more akin to a yapping of a junk-yard dog
on too short a chain.

Few here (with the exception of Arabiatta) write with the flair of Moliiere.
Hell, I don't know if I can even pronounce the guy's name. But for the
