Haven't heard anything about RB and KTM collaborating yet, but I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility since RBR is always looking to learn more and hire more people with knowledge. And Mateschitz and One-Eyed Jack are bitching about F1 on a seemingly daily basis, who knows if Mateschitz might think it's worth throwing more money at another race series one day.

The Cosworth GBA in the 80s was a turbocharged engine they built for F1, it never won a race.

I'm sure TWR could have done a good job if Cheating Tom had found a way to do it.
Speaking of F1, how about them Nascar boys grabbing a 6th place finish in their first F1 race ever. Thats probably more points than they had dreamed of getting all year.

Not to mention Alonso tried to murder Gutierrez in the other Haas.

It means mostly nothing since Melbourne has always been a place where the weak overachieve for a day.

Back in 2011 for example, Vitaly Petrov --the man who most remember for being the only thing that stood in Alonso's quest for a 3rd title during the 2010 season as they circled Yas Marina endlessly with Alonso unable to get past to score those desperate points needed-- placed third in the Renault/Lotus. Breathlessly many assumed as they usually do this meant Renault soon to be Lotus would be achieving great things. They however did not, and would never again see a podium finish that season. Petrov was quickly ushered off to a backmarker Caterham the next year before finding himself out of the sport altogether.

Should be good for sponsor money perhaps before they move to their back of the grid location, where they should remain for most of the season.

Sure, rbr and ktm are both from Australia. Guaranteed collaboration. Maybe they can get holden onboard too.

Shagging my hoe

Don't forget Mark Webber's 5th place on his debut in 2002 too....in a Minardi. Yeah, that result was recreated all season long, not.

Those 8 constructor points were more than the tenth place team scored all season last year and the top 10 get to share in the money . I have no illusion that they are a 6th place team, but that was huge for them financially if it puts them in the top 10 at years end.

I would wager it putting them ahead of Sauber and Manor..so that's a helluva Finacial boost for 9th place in the championship.

Actually Haas is not entitled to any prize money this year because they do not have a commercial contract with Formula One Management.

I saw where Bernie told them they wouldn't get the 10 million new team bonus, because they asked to come in instead of Bernie asking them to come in, but I have not heard where they were not eligible for prize money. Why would anyone agree to spend 200 million per year to participate with zero chance to recoup any of that in Prize money . If that is true, that is what you call having money to burn.

As far as the money, no way he leaves Yamaha if Ducati's offer is 10-11.
Like it says, if he goes, it's for more than they payed Rossi.

Nah, Marquez will still beat him
Lorenzo is playing with shitting a legacy of several more titles for a few extra bucks. I'm sure Yamaha were willing to pay him decent.

I swear I don't understand how these guys get blinded by thoughts they can succeed at Ducati. Ducati is basically a garage project, albeit a fantastic garage project. They can't compete with the conglomerate corporate efforts of Yamaha and Honda on a consistent basis. Even less when the organizers write the rules in favor of the Japanese and favor Rossi for good measure.

Rossi WC 2017, 2018.

Pol Espargaro?

No.. Would hope the seat would go to Maverick, but would still be multiple steps backwards..

Hope JL hurt feels and what not, doesn't make him do something he will regret later.

Championship on Yamaha will be worth more than a pay check from Duc in the long run.

Hard to replace 10 million euro's, besides, if it doesnt work out, he can probably go back to Yamaha to take Rossi's seat.
