interesting. i don't like the fact that their worried about some stuckup sponsor having to walk around the paddock with their percieved throngs of undesierable people... that would be us. they seem to think that a elitist type attitude need to be taken to appease some of these corporate dicks.
<
but i must say something has to give to get the sponsors on board. i think they'll come eventually regardless. they can't ignore those viewing numbers!

Well yes but there has to be some other pull other than viewing numbers it's all about corporate hospitality and if you have been down the paddock at Donnington you will see that it isn't exactly Monaco standard. Anyway if it raises the profile of the Sport then I don't give a monkies, plus it might mean lots of money for Donnington to upgrade a bit, though I do love Donny. It's the hardest racing out there makes F1 look like a stroll in the park.

I'm not a fan of the upper class thing but I accepted a long time ago that its part of the sport. Racing is expensive and the money has to come from somewhere, so I think its a good idea.

Where would we put the 125/250 riders then?

Camping on t'infield wiv us commonors?

u guys have to remember that this is marketing $ were talkin about here. the viewing #s should have the marketing dept of any possible global company wanting to get it's name/product out there eager to exploit this large of a viewing audience. so at least to me it seems the #s should stand on their own. catering to snobby ceo's & making shur they need not mingle with the common folk... well i just don't like the sound of it.

Of course not, they'll be dropped...and good riddance!

If seperate paddocks is going to attract more sponsorship money into the sport like they think it will then sure go for it.

Space will be a problem though obviously so something will have to be done there. Although as Formula 1 race some of the tracks such as Barcelona and Malaysia and there are usually GP2 or Porsche Cup following them so surely at those tracks there must be enough space for the 125s and 250s. Dunno about the rest though?

Don’t like it much either Frosty, I think it is getting to their heads, it has not been about snobed up morons so far and audience numbers are rising constantly, so there is no need for snobing it up. It’s a sport of daring brave riders as used to be a bit F1 it it’s wonderful years, but F1 now that it’s all control and snobed up it is quite shty!

If TV audiences keep a constant grow then sponsor will come no matter what this overbearing morons do!

PS. I’ve never been to any MotoGP paddock at all.

Sorry… Another thing, with 125 & 250 there, things get kind of interesting for seasons to come (Take Yamaha/Lorenzo’s case now), meaning that if by any way MotoGP is a bit of a boring weekend like last Jerez, we usually get an interesting 125 or 250 plus all the gossip around it, don’t we? I can only see they are just being morons!
