Sepang pre-season test 2011

Need more pics to be sure.

EDIT: There's a pic on Alex Briggs Twitter of the version without fins, it still has the shark grill & no speed holes.

46 didn't leave a team that promoted equal treatment to go to another one that does the same.

Randy will be on an 09 bike tomorrow how dare he.

It is testing you know, and only the first day. I like randy, but there is no way he would beat a healthy rossi on an equal bike in an actual contest. I agree with you in advance that randy has never had top spec equipment, and is unlikely to receive same with pramac ducati particularly as the season advances. I am not sure he has pulled the right rein if it was in his control to stay at lcr honda, with or without the playboy bunnies.

I Can see 2011 being the talk of the Duc being a pig to ride Again

The fastest racelap the last time was about 2.02.1

It seems to be showing what manufacturer has done the most changes from 2010.I don't know what parts Stoner is testing though, other than the complete 2011-bike.I read Ducati has new things in about every area, including electronics so Hayden might go fast at least,in the end.Spies is quite impressive though, being just as fast as Stoner except for Stoners late hot lap/laps.

This may in part explain why Randy is faster ......... I have a funny feeling Ducati are killing the relative plus that the Ducati did have ......... acceleration ......... one of Rossi's requested updates was anti wheelie software ....... ie. one thing Stoner ignored and used to advantage.

I'm actually beginning to think it will be a long process for JB as it must be a hell of a lot rawer than the yam, look at how Hayden has placed on the more Rossified Duc ...... not looking good.

We could easily have said the same thing about Stoner had he not landed at Ducati in 2007. Personally I think De Puniet's move was the best one he could have made. The Ducati, if you have the balls to ride it, can win races. Even the satellite ones in my opinion. I would not bet against if (hypothetical) Ducati had of chosen DePuniet over Melandri, Hayden or Rossi for the factory ride in any of those years he could of won a championship. He is easily in the top 5 riders in MotoGP in my opinion.

I read on Twitter that Ducati has 3 fairing configurations today; one with fins, one without and one cut away more for windy conditions. Perhaps it is that

motorcycles with fins is a ........ idea. i dont need to be an engineer to know that..its not gonna help..i cant understand what that unibrow cripple is thinking. what needs to be done is trash that stupid frame set up and go with a traditional type frame.

agree and the 2011 season could be over before it's even started for Duc,

and if the 2012 programme isn't well sorted NOW.Duc could be out in the cold for a long time

lol... Ducati have made their bike even worse

Yes i know it's way too early to say for certain

Yeah but it's never too early to speculate. Add-on wise they seem to have thrown the kitchen sink

at it - a myriad of variables, on a bike that neither JP or Rossi have any experience with.

When a patient is ill - doctors tend to try one or two things at at time so they will know which one

has effected the desired results. GP bikes are so sensitive to small changes and Ducati has loaded

up a bike that already possessed every conceivable bell and whistle - with yet more variables. That's

a lot to sort out and not much time to do it in.

WTF is Haystack doing?
cc_confused.gif

Shouldn't he be at least a few tenths faster than a one-armed, over-the-hill Rossi?

Us die-hard Hayden fans may be in for yet another long, miserable season.

I feel like a Saints fan. I needs a paper bag of shame to put over my head.

I reckon there's a good possibility that Honda being contractually obliged to field three factory spec

bikes for Repsol - would make for resources insufficient to provide DePuniet with fully current equipment.

"i cant understand what that unibrow cripple is thinking" - THAT IS WAY OVER THE TOP - the kind of thing someone with a twisted - if not crippled - mind would say - you can criticize his work and his mentality, but leave his physical disadvantage out of it

Rossi on the Ducati is nor setting the track alight, but then it's his first - almost fit - ride - so let's wait and see - the clairvoyants and doomsayers should put their crystal balls away for a whilie - especially concerning 2012, where 2011 hasn't even started.

It's good to see Stoner on a new bike showing JL, Pedro and Dovi the way round. Stoner hasn't been one of my past favorites, but after 2010 at Aragon and PI - I'm warming to him and would cetainly like to see him and Spies beating Hogay

So you're saying Hayden has no balls? Really? And for that matter Barbera (much more balls than brains) and Depuniet

who been consistently competitive of late despite often riding with horrendous pain? Really.

Lighten up and don't dig yourself any holes you can't climb out of. Powerslide has never been a oasis of political correctness.

Besides - if you came around more often you'd realize Curvey is known for indulging in over-the-top bombast.

Respectfully Yours,

just stating the obvious..you dont like it too bad.

early days anyhow..but kinda worries me seeing Nick down the list.. as long as Spaceman looses the championship i'm happy

And thats why we love the place. People can be people and not have to walk on eggshells, worrying about who they might upset. I saw a public service ad on the tube this morning that made me want to puke. A group of teenage boys are sitting in a restaurant and one of them uses the term "thats so gay" only to be assailed by some .... comedian about why he shouldnt use that term. I kept waiting for the kid to tell the .... ..... to .... off, but to my chagrin, it never happened
