Guess who said this after the tests:

The timers dont lie.

Here is another quote, guess who said it

Ben is doing a very good job, I spoke with him yesterday and we discussed many things about the bike, he's a good team mate."

have the factories gotten past the 6 engine barrier? i mean, last year they had to "detune" engines to make sure the last the full season but in testing they don't..are they at a point where they can have engines running at full capacity that will last the entire season?

Hard to tell at this point. Last year it was Honda who had performance and reliability, but normally more power means less life in an engine, and everyone is using a new, supposedly more powerful engine. All it takes is to trash one early in the season to totally make your ... pucker for the rest of the year.

With so many Honda's at the top it is inevitable that team orders are going to need to be a factor come mid season if they are sharing the wins around too much....

While I dont mind the grid size getting larger, I think we'd all like to see that, I think HOnda has taken the Redbull Race mentality. Fill up the grid with your bikes and you just can't loose. HOnestly I love Honda machines, but I really dont want to see 3 Repsol Hondas on the podium race after race, that would suck. Not that it will happen but geez, they should have picked up another sponsor for a factory ride and one of the three been different. Im just not digging the 3 bikes out there.

I think we can almost guarantee the constructors championship to Honda its almost pointless.

You only have to look at the lap times to see they are on full spec engines so they will have to reduce power for reliability. Honda done a brilliant job last year, I reckon the other manufacturers are going to have to take a bit more of a risk this year. If you need another engine or two they can start in the pitlane, surely worth the risk?

Just saw the picture above, I saw that somewhere before

This top eight looks a bit more like it for Ducati, Hayden finished 4 places ahead of Rossi, that's also more like what i had expected.

Infront Simonchelli, another surprise leader and then the usual suspects are at the 2nd and 3th place.

Honda is again dominating the top. Atm it's almost certain to me that Honda, Stoner and Lorenzo are the most favorites this year.

Does anyone know if Stoner used the new engine already? I know Pedro used it on the second day, perhaps on the third too.

Your quote is clearly Lorenzo, however mine wasn't Ben...

It was -- Rossi

Lorenzo?

I see the words"Ducati" and "will improve" thrown about quite a bit in this thread. I feel no such optimism. Ducati has proven itself incapable of solving problems over the course of their entire moto gp history. Only 1 Honda on the grid is slower than the factory bike. I say the Ducati doesn't touch the podium this year.

Wonder if Crutchlow is now wishing he wasn't so busy last year

There are some bold and unrealistically specific predictions coming out after 1 test!! Honda will sabotage their own riders, Lorenzo will have his ego crushed, i love it. And 'just' top 5?? Look at the other guys out there, top 5 is not to be sniffed at, we could easily see more than 4 'aliens' or a generally more open season this year.

I like bold predictions as opposed to those who just criticise (not implying you). Your right top 5 in this field is impressive but disappointing if you were top 1 the year before. When he is getting regularly beaten and can do nothing about it it will .... with his mind. We think he is mentally tough because he had a mistake free year and handled the pressure. Lets see how he handles getting duffed up by 3-4 Honda's and his 'young' team mate.

That is a photo of Stoner from 2 years ago that has been photoshopped.

anyone got a high res of that photo?

and about ducati and improvements...wouldn't the times logged in the past three days indicate steps in the right direction?

Sic is gonna be really good on the bigger bikes. I believe he will win a race or 2 this season. I predict a win for him on a wet track, he's shown many times before in the 250 how well he rode a bike on the wet.

I really doubt Simonch will put a whole race together against the competition of Honda riders. But you never know.

Why would you say it was photoshopped. In motomatters forum there is a this thread with photos of most riders at the same curve.
