he wasn't riding hard enough to crash, he got the rossi out board then slowed down and thought he would settle for second, problem was he got caught up and blitzed, crap ride from stoner imo.

Well this is what i make of that race:

Pedrosa was untouchable today, he was simply too fast and nobody had an answer to that. Its fantastic to finally see Honda get one in the bag, and i'm glad it came from the Repsol team. More of the same please.

Michelin obviously turned the table on Bridgestone this weekend and made things hard for Stoner who rode averagely but got a solid position, he can't complain though because of what happened to Rossi.

I was hugely disappointed in Rossi today, to crash so early in the race and in a way that a championshp contender just can't afford. My disappointment only increased as the Michelins came into there own, i feel 3rd was on te cards for him today and he threw it away.

Gutted to see DePuniets bike give in right at the end, but it was clear even before that happened that West wasn't far off his pace and has therefore had another excellent showing.

Roll on Laguna Seca and Hopefully both Repsol boys on the podium again, i can't wait!!

Yep, increasing your world championship lead is a crap ride! Okey Dokey!!

I would have thought that the crappiest ride today came from No 46! To bin it so early when clearly the michelins were working really well would seem to be a silly mistake.....

Some grace please. Great rides by Pedrosa especially but also Hayden and Capirossi. Capirossi obviously easier on marginal tyres than Stoner.

Capirossi said he chose a different compound to everyone else on Bridgestones and it worked like a charm.

yup rossi did blow it today, but casey only increased the points lead because of this not because he rode well. he got 11 out of a possible 25, caught being lazy.

Haven't heard of sarcasm then?

How about this:

Stoner actually has a race where he goes backward and then Rossi bins it missing out on an opportunity to lessen the championship points gap.

Is that better?

From a rider who dominates ALL sessions this weekend, i have to agree.

Even whether was tire fault, it was the poorest tire choice of the world!

hehehe, another slow thread thanks to Rossi crash. Last race this time we are heading to 4th page.

Rossi has to be spitting chips after that race, massive missed opportunity, soo unlike him to crash under pressure (but is it becoming more common?) I think Stoner will be breathing a huge sigh of relief though, despite a disspointing result (by this years standards.)

Rides of the day, Pedrosa and Hayden, both turned around an abysmal start of the year to really make a statement that theyre back... Repsol Honda will be more than pleased and I think we all knew Honda would eventually turn it around and theyll get things right for all their teams by the end of this season and beyond.

Im gonna mention Ant too, as i do, but really, what a composed and mature race in only his third ride. Especially with the Bridgestones going right off towards the end, he held his own, was catching his teammate in the end and woulda finished right with him.. I rekon he woulda had a dip at him if his bike didnt die. Also, its amazing what a decent ride and a bit of a break can do for ones attitude; see Ant's post race interview...

Bring on Laguna..

I think all the 46 fans are in total shock! Maybe they need to go drown their sorrows and come back tomorrow.

Lets discuss the Ducati `speedway team riding move ` on Marco into the first corner

,t`was a classic.

Well, last race I was totally cheerless and disappointed. So, some friends came and refired my hopes to the most waited racing championship title for me.

And here I am. C'mom people, It is just one bad weekend. The season is heading to a great battle! Nothing is defined yet. 32 points doesnt mean that much especially now that Stoner is struggling in some races.

Maybe some should do that..

Great to see Pedrosa FINALLY win a race again. He rode a very strong race today, no doubts about that, and he's for sure the deserved winner. Also think Hayden did a very good job, coming from 14th and finishing 3rd!!! Well done to him!!! Also nice to see Capi on the podium again
<

I'm really disappointed in Rossi. Obviously I can understand he wanted to overtake Randy as soon as possible, but to make such a move that early in the race..???
<

But it happened, lucky for him Casey also had problems, so the gap is now 32 points. Both guys were disappointing this race, but at least Casey stayed on the bike!!

Can't wait for the next race
<

Maybe Hayden will win, he's always good over there...

Stoner is the winner so far, for sure he had problems today, and he didn't win, BUT he increased the gap to his closest opponent. So that's a good thing I would say.

Cant fualt Stoner too much, he just didnt have the race pace that pedrobot had, and we all saw what happened to the birdgeys at the end of the race. He did well to keep Melandri and Hopkins behind him.

Great race by Marco too, good to see him showing signs of confidence when he finally gets new parts. I think there are alot of people that sling .... at him when he is riding a poor bike and expresses his opion, but when he has a good ride and thanks honda for finally getting some parts over to his garage no one mentions it.

Either way this weekend has been a step in a good direction for me being a Melandri and Aussie fan.

I agree with that!!!
For sure his result was disappointing, but I think he did a good job in the end by keeping those two guys behind him. I actually thought both Melandri and Hopkins would overtake him, so he did a good job in the end. I'm sure Rossi was watching and hoping to see those two overtake Casey

GREAT RACE!!

As a Pedrosa fan I'm very happy he totally anihilated the opposition today. He needed this result to restore his confidence.

I think Honda has improved, but not as much as it looks like today, IMO the big factor today was Michelin, the Bridgestones melted half way through the race and Casey did a good job finishing 5th and all Michelins flew past.

Rossi must be really pissed cause with his Michelin tyres today 2nd was an easy objective and he would've reduced Casey's advantage by around 10 pts. Instead Casey has extended his lead and with his consistency Rossi will need a miracle to catch up given Casey's speed and consistency. Furthermore Rossi is having one of the worse seasons I've seen him, never seen him makes so many mistakes.

He was and still is one of my favourites. Great to see him win again

AGREED! For sure they made improvements, but I dont think they will finish both on the podium that often. Still think under normal circumstances Stoner and Rossi should be there.

Well, I'm sure he's pissed off yeah, I would be too. Today he had the opportunity to decrease the gap (we can say that now after seeing the race). The moment he crashed out Casey was still in front of him, and Vale tried to overtake Randy asap, so he wouldn't be too much behind. It's just disappointing. He HAS to step up his game, BUT without making errors, he really can't afford that.

Well actually not!!!
HE MADE the mistake, you can say he was ''lucky'' cause Stoner fell back behind cause of his tyres. Unlucky would be if someone hit him and he crashed off, or if he had an mechanical failure. That wasn't the case.
