Rossi and Lorenzo crowding the front at the start? Nah.
I am sorry that Zarco's tires didn't last.
Good stuff from Rossi. Dani looked as strong as ever.
What can you say about Marquez? When he gets in a rhythm, he is a pleasure to watch walk away.

I wish the damn announcers would shut-up about the Zarco-Rossi incident. It doesn't matter anymore, for Texas-two-step sake.

The old man leads the championship and my two favorite riders take second and third in the race. Nice Sunday evening!

I predicted Vinales would have at least one DNF. Big difference competing at the full factory level. All that ........ about him getting inside Marquez's head. Ha!

I see the usual soap opera buffs are already winding up fake drama over the penalty that's totally moot.

Mate you are one sick ....., nobody has ever said that. I think you need to get your .... together before you piss all over the pavement.

I noticed you have a thing with following me around here. Find something else to do.

Re-read the thread friend. Lots of ......s were saying Vinales was inside of Marquez's head. It was great to see Dani pushing it hard. Too bad he ran out of tire. Zarco was a little out of control, but no real harm done.

All said, a pretty compelling race even if there wasn't a lot of passing. With 46 in the points lead - the Valeban will be beating their chests like silverbacks, as if they'd won the race themselves.

Can someone explain (without drama and soap opera box crap) explain why Rossi was penalised? I don't disagree I'm just curious as I'm not familiar with the rules and not sure what other option he has

Again - not saying it's wrong I'm just interested in learning why so I can become more familiar with the rules :)

Leaving the track and gaining an advantage is what his penalty fell under. I think it was how much he closed up on Marquez when that incident happened that caused him to fall afoul of the rule. Had he maintained a larger gap to MM, IMO he would have been fine.

That was the exact margin he gained by missing that corner on the rider in front of him. You could pretty much say it had nothing to do with Zarco.

I was refering to the haters that jps was talking about. I don't think inside Marquez's head much resides, the blokes a robot.

He got the penalty by mistake because Dorna lets him off with everything normally...apparently

Rossi got penalized for cutting the track even though he had the line and Zarco forced him to stand the bike up or take both of them out. It's a BS penalty because it's ignoring rider safety to focus more on the slight advantage Rossi received from cutting the corner.

Its a very small world so get used to it. I don't deliberately follow you, but I do take exception to your know it all comments. The fact is if you are right 50% of the time you are a genius.
Do you like that for a throw away comment?

I think there was a lot a of talk that if Marc didn't win here Mav could be getting inside Marcs head. I think thats perfectly reasonable to think. Mav going down doesn't just prove that Marc can beat him but that he makes mistakes. So acting like it was laughable that Mav was getting to Marc is stupid. But the argument is over now.

Something to ponder is what Lorenzo's last part of the race would have looked like had he gone with that medium rear tire. It's tough watching him because he still isn't braking late enough on the Ducati...and that's really is the key to getting more out of that bike for him. Easier said than done obviously, but man, if he could just switch to braking later, I think it would help him get away from trying to rely on that corner speed as much.

There's quite a bit of ill-will towards Marquez from a few people here, ever since Rossi got taken down a few notches following his poor judgement in Sepang and all the wrong-headed insults he laid on Marquez. There's haters all around. People expressing their fondest wishes that this rider or that rider should fall so that Rossi might get his 10th championship. This is not something imagined by anyone. If you're going to pick a fight, at least be in possession of the facts friend. ;)

And FYI - I was one of those vociferously annoyed by MM's antics at Sepang; yet and still, thought Rossi's response was egregious and unforgivably stupid and unsportsmanlike.

the other option was not turning into the rider who has the inside line and since it wasnt a desperate lunge(unlike assen 2015) and he could clearly see zarc and he could avoid the touch. imo the penalty was justified (they wouldve asked him to give zarco the position if he didnt make such a big gap.)

Well we will have to see how the Honda works in Europe...certainly the Ducati will atruggle there while the Yamahas will be good everywhere....
