He hates them both, but hates Stoner slightly more. What he doesn't like about Stoner is Stoner say Rossi is a dirty rider who is dangerous on track.
I think 1 or 2 of his moves have been questionable but Stoner is just a prone to 'dishing it out' as well (Laguna pass on Jorge), personally i want to see more of this!

Quite a revealing interview. I thought he disliked Lorenzo more, but there you go. Interesting take on why he can,t do what CS did on the duke. Despite the dodgy translation, it seemed to be an admission of lesser bike skills (as far as getting the best out of the ducati goes). Is that a first??

Mind if I give my personal opinion on this? To me Rossi is a bit of dirty rider, in the sense that he has in the past at times been aggressive past the point the I,consider hard but fair racing. I think he did so in order to intimate others, and for a time this strategy was quite successful because if you watched Motogp in 2004 or 2005, you would often see competitors yield very easily to him. In that sense he was not that different from someone like Senna. But Rossi never was quite able to take in what he dished out and there were one or two occasion in which I personally think he crossed the line on the racetrack out of pure spite.
He isn't as bad as Simonchelli has been for most of his career though and he never did anything as extreme as Capirossi did to Harada.

This is the second time I see Rossi arguing that Stoner was so much better on the Ducati than him because he'd been on that bike for 5 years. So by that logic, it would be much fairer to compare Rossi's 2011 to Stoner's 2007? Sure about that?

The blinding error in your logic is that stoner 2007 was 10 times better than stoner 2010 and Rossi is riding a bike closest to stoner 2010.

Rossi says he won't congratulate Stoner on becoming a father because Stoner said he is a dirty rider. I know it is a bad translation but seriously it is an interview with Rossi and in it he says he won't talk to Stoner so how do you confuse that.
I have not heard Stoner bitching about not talking to Rossi because he called him a ......
I don't think Stoner hates Rossi because Rossi is mid pack and therefore irrelevant to Stoner. At most I think Stoner is just laughing at him for his complete failure to ride the Ducati and the multitude of excuses that have been dished up to explain it.

I think after Jerez Stoner got a bit Irreverent towards Rossi but I think because Pedro and Lorenzo are providing so much competition Rossi has been irrelevant since Stoners first win after Jerez..
Rossi will never have the technical riding skills it took Stoner to largely negate the idiosyncrasies of the Duc. Rossi himself admitted that when they analyzed Stoners past telemetry. Rossi's reaction was that Stoner was a madman ........ thats why the emphasis has been on changing the Duc. ..... not the rider.

Rossi and his fans do not like Stoner because he cannot be dismissed as a one year aberration. They always have an excuse when someone beats him in a given year. Stoner has beat him consistently for an entire era and that cannot be dismissed.The fact that Rossi cannot ride the bike that consistently beat him for an era is salt in the wound, and Casey tuning his ... up on world tv was just icing on the cake. I doubt Stoner really gives a .... what other riders thinks of him, unlike Rossi who has this need to be admired and loved.

When Rossi is back on a Jap bike in 2013 and at the sharp end, all of this will be forgotten by most. The rare occasion where I've seen Rossi in real life, he seems a cool guy, but man, I don't really like his interviews. So much double speak and snips. In a way, he's a bit like Stoner in this regard, they whine when their lives are so f..ing good. On the other hand, I guess they are just human like all the rest of us.
