ROSSI THREATENS WITHDRAW

Those mind games used to work when the competition knew Rossi was faster than they were. Now the tables are turned, they are ineffectual.

When do you reckon he is going to figure that out. He is embarrassing himself.

You're in a miniscule tiny insignificant minority. What VR did today was nothing less than praiseworthy. Putting that cheating boring disrespectful .... Lorenzo that nobody likes in his place.

Rossi will never come to that realisation with the sycophants surrounding him within his team as well as the self serving people in media and officialdom (not all by any means)

Hell, if I didn't know better I would say that by using these people Rossi has created a magnificent underdog persona and story over the last 5 or 6 months , and as we all know the world loves an underdog.

No, I am not kidding either but this posturing by VR has been brilliant as the 'poor me' has hit home with a lot of people as the media coverage favours VR whilst ignoring the World Champion to pan and pillory Marquez.

It has to be remembered that the feelings of this forum are in the vast minority when it comes to VR and so I suspect that his building of the underdog has led to an increase for him in all areas, support, sponsorship and allows his ego to be well fed.

In fp4 VR started following JL in order to try and improve his 10th place at the time. JL spotted this and slowed much to VR's displeasure and VR had a flap whilst JL simply nodes his head forward to say get off in front of me, which VR reluctantly did.
After following MV for a long while and improving his time, VR once again sneaked up on JL in order to try and better his time or piss him off. JL again spotted him and slowed up as part of the mind games, at this point at the end of the session during practice starts, VR decided to go wave his arms and accuse JL of deliberately blocking his line. No doubt VR is starting his silly games early this season and could even be trying to stick JL with points on his licence after the one he got at Misano last year when he deliberately prevented a fast Lorenzo lap during qualifying.
Typically the press are lax in reporting the incidents fully and prefer to concentrate on the part where they see VR as the wronged party...

Hahaha, did this happen in practice or qual? I'm laughing remembering Rossi fans jumping all over Stoner, calling him a whiner moaner for waving his arms toward dowling riders. Please tell me Rossi made a hand gesture. I still remember the Horde describing Stoner as "flailing his arms" and lobbing insult, oh i wonder what they'll say of Rossi for doing the same. You think they'll call Rossi a moaner? I haven’t had a chance to watch vid today, was trying to not click on the spoiler thread but I already know Jlo is on pole. How do we know what Rossi said? Press release? Please tell me it's on video.

Nice little piece of 'targeted' commentary but yes, he wavedt he nads not once but again at the practice starts

Man, and just think of what's going to happen when MM gets into a battle with VR on the track....

I suspect that there will be some commentators who will be going to a break asking for tissues to clean up their mess............ :D

I imagine the Yellow Horde will be cursing at their TV's swearing that MM is out to ruin "yet another race" for VR.

Whatdya mean?

I mean if VR gets in front of a rider, aren't they supposed to then leave the circuit so that they do not interfere with a championship?

So I reckon someone will blackflag MM for having to much Orange on the Honda and confusing the simpletons into thinking it is a KTM

I read comments regarding this balkgate as "Lorenzo up to his games again'.

Btw, if someone were to make a collage between Rossi’s Sepang hand gesture toward Marquez and the hand today toward Lorenzo, I bet they'd look identical. It's all about Rossi's perceptions which drive truth. If Rossi perceives it, it happened--the standard.

Btw F1 about to start.

I was thinking the same thing about the hand gestures...even the body positioning looked rather similar. The only thing missing was a purposeful slowdown alongside Lorenzo so Rossi could kick his bike over.

And a Red Bull out before the lights even go out...hilarious.

Yes, this was apparently a further example of Mike Webb in particular and RD in general, presumably in concert with DORNA favouring Lorenzo because of his Spanishness, consistent with their reprehensible behaviour towards the great Valentino in the disgraceful end of season events last year.

long time lurker

I just need to say, I've been a fan of motogp for 6 years now, but being an american, I've never really met anyone else who enjoys the sport... This is the first time I've searched for forums; and I'm so happy to see that there are other people out there that dislike Rossi. Until I witnessed him intentionally knock Marc off his bike, I really rooted for Valentino. I have since lost all respect for the man.

Aggressive racing is different from deliberately putting another rider to the pavement. I watch motogp for the thrill of the sport, I don't have one rider that I particularly love ...but now I have one to hate. I'm glad I'm not alone!

I like new members who see Rossi for the fraud he is. Welcome!

During Q2 Rossi actually came in at mid point prior to Lorenzo and appeared to be sitting waiting for a tow round in the final laps. He sat looking at a tablet with Uccio while clearly waiting, Lorenzo was positioned in front of him and sat waiting for Rossi to clear off and even turned around as if to say "go on then, you're not following me again" so Rossi followed Maverick and so did Iannone.
Already Rossi seems unable to go and set a lap of entirely his own doing, he's latching onto others to do it instead...

I, like you, just found this forum recently and glad that there are people here that share my opinion that rossi is a phony. talented, yes, but still a phony. For years, he was beating lesser opponents (doesnt mean he wasn't a great rider. he is), and when the likes of pedrosa, stoner, lorenzo and marquez show up and start challenging him, he didnt like it one bit. That good guy with the fun loving persona he has always carried over the years slowly disappeared and revealed its true color. His meltdown at sepang 2015 was epic.

I was a rossi's fan ever since he came to motogp with the yellow nsr500. Over the years, I totally enjoyed his domination over other riders and overlooked some of his rough moves on others (like the moves on Gibernau or Stoner) and just chalked them up to racing is rubbing. I just thought he is the best and could beat anybody on any bike, even if he rides a bicyce !! I started to have "doubt" about his "greatness" when lorenzo began to challenge rossi. rossi put up a wall and divided the garage so the info couldnt be shared. To me, it was a sign of weakness. By putting up a wall, it showed that rossi was scared. Finally someone was beating him and he tried to push lorenzo out by telling yamaha, either lorenzo or me, and we all know how that ended up. Rossi went to ducati for a disatrous two years. Came back to yamaha with tail between his legs and hat in hands asking for a ride. I still liked him (among with a couple other riders), albeit not as much as before but when I saw his meltdown at sepang 2015 and subsequent whining in Valencia after losing the title, i completely fell off his bandwagon. I wasn't a fan of lorenzo before but I am now. At least lorenzo has never pretended to be a "good" guy. I have always suspected that rossi's bromance with marquez was an act, a fake. Rossi has never been a friendly guy with riders who are better or capable of beating him. I hope lorenzo stays at yamaha and make sure rossi will not get a 10th title for the next three years.

TLDR: rossi is a fraud.

The look on Stoner's face is priceless.
