I had already taken an educated guess this wasn't your first, but not because I recalled any previous posters of a similar ilk, or with a similar prose style, at all notable for wit or insight.

It would appear not in a very seaworthy vessel, and I have made no claims on my own behalf, you are the one doing all the self proclamation.

This does make me recall a previous discussion on the definition of irony, given that you have in successive posts claimed "victory" because I made a (very short) reply to you, then proclaimed your indifference, followed instantaneously by a further post (rather at odds with your definition of victory in the first of the 3 posts), and now proceed to proclaim yourself the scarlet pimpernel of the forum who has fooled us all by sheer cleverness and elusiveness these many years.

As a great man once said, it would appear you are a legend in your own mind.

My only proclamation was that I was able to rile up an entire forum of reverse-boppers. Never did I claim to be filled with creative prose or dashing wit.

Oh my friend, you are the greatest. You continue on and on with this. You are clearly upset that a bopper has infested your sacred forum, and done so with ease. Or maybe I'm not really a bopper? No way of knowing for sure.

No I attacked your arguments, such as they were, which you guys seem to be unable to differentiate from attacks on your person (I am guessing that your skills with disguise and legerdemain don't actually extend to you being Valentino Rossi, rather than merely an obsessed fan of his taking offense on his behalf), followed by you immediately proceeding to argumentum ad hominem yourself, and proclamations that even though you couldn't argue your corner you were cleverer than everyone because you had fooled us all with multiple posting identities.

Do you think I am going to be won over by your approval, which I in no way require or have sought, and refrain from replying when you attempt, completely ineffectually btw, to assert superiority over long term forum members, or the forum itself, with whom and on which I have enjoyed discussing matters GP bike racing for many years in the absence of the forum being honoured by your participation?

Any barbed comments I have attempted are in response to you. I am not particularly good at being barbed as it happens, but then neither are you.

My self obsession? I think you need to look in the mirror and re-evaluate your life.

When did I ever say I was trying to give you my approval, or seek out your approval? I don't know you from a hole in the wall.

When I posted my opinions on things, I was greeted by egomaniacal responses from people on this forum (not all but most), as well as cleverly disguised forum trolls. So I reacted as such. Nothing personal...

You burn me for putting Rossi on a pedestal, but you guys spew out so much hate and venom that I honestly think you need an appointment on a leather couch.
