Rossi does not attend award presentation

Never quite followed the designation and terminology - the RZ was basically the derivative of the LC right?

Arrib, not sure of Mick's hometown but in Oz (and I believe some other regional countries) there was the RD series which was late 70's to early 80's and included the 125/250/350 and 400cc categories. The LC only (from memory) occurred in the 250 and 350 capacity and was sold alongside the base bike for a small period of time before solely as the RD350LC/RD250LC

Around the mid 80's there was an upgrade and the RD became the RZ. Newer bodywork and small engine modifications but it was still sold in other markets as the RD but in Oz (at least) was restricted to the 250/350 capacity. Initially it had a bikini fairing but after a few years became the RZR and was fully faired.

I remember a mate having a 350 that he would drop almost every weekend on the old highway (he should not have been riding) and then spend the week fixing it to go out again and drop it

Amongst all these Yamaha also release the RZ500 ........ a sensational bike even today and rare as hens teeth out here (I know one guy with 2, and another with 1)

And the best part in Oz, all of them are road registerable ...

Not sure if that is Mick's case but it may essentially be the same bike just marketed as an RZ

Yet you claim on your profile to be in Mid Wales..plus your IP address suggests your stories don't add up :)

All I can do is laugh at you and arabthebellend...... You both think you're wise cracks but are actually clueless morons..... and insulting ones calling people liars with no substance to any posts you put up... pathetic!

This is from last year, riding the old man's 83 RZ around Mosport. Unfortunately in my rush to get to the track I grabbed the wrong Shoei bag:jester:

Your old man has good taste....and a very nice bike collection.

He's owned a shop here for 26 years and ferreted away a few gems. I really miss the 06 R1 50th Anniversary bike he used to have, but he sold it, too bad I was too young at the time to ride it.

I've got a KTM ATV rolling chassis sitting at home I want to put an RZ engine in, he's got a spare sitting there, it'd be fun to ride a 2 stroke quad again

Oh and on topic, Rossi was absolutely right not to turn up to the Spanish Armada Fix It Marquez awards.....

Irrespective of what one thinks of the season, apparently it is an FIM/DORNA (one or both) requirement that the top 3 championship placegetters attend, else they be fined.

It does of course not say how much the fine shall be but it would be like losing 5 cents one suspects to these guys

Whether he was right or wrong to not attend is one's own opinion .......... mine, not that you asked is that it looks poor for him not attend as it gives an impression of petulance and poor sportsmanship. But I also personally have no issues given what he believes has occurred and his subsequent behaviour as he does believe that he was wronged so why show?

Just as I do not go to places where I do not want to be at that time, nor should VR be forced irrespective of the impression.
