Rossi breaks leg

It will be interesting to see if the attendance is down.

I thought I heard his 2010 Mugello accident saw a drop in attendance on race day that year.

Would make for a better race day experience, there being a more favorable race fan to glory-hunter ratio. All that ....... yellow is hard on the eyes.

Because that's who we were going to support.

I did see him win there in 2014 though, which was a great experience and my first time at Misano.

Therein lies the problem of the sport.

Under Dorna's (mis)management all the eggs are pretty much in the basket of a 38 year old rider who hadn't won a title for 7 seasons, and now will not for an 8th. With the best will in the world, not that I claim to have same towards him, it is very difficult to see him winning a title after this year either, however great he once was, given the current level of his opposition, particularly with a guy in contention to be GOAT, if there is such a thing, riding for the factory Honda team. Dorna have been a collaborator in trashing that guy as well, who on almost any grounds would seem to have been their future.

So if Dorna's business model is based on those of your ilk who lose interest if Rossi is out or not contending it would seem to be a particularly unsound one.

Revs your heart does it, more like fingers your wallet.

I dislike Rossi but I love see him get beaten on track. Get well soon

BTW, I wonder how do Yamaha feel right now. Maybe they're regretting putting all the eggs on Rossi when Maverick was winning comfortably

I expect they were instructed by Dorna they had to.

Fair weather fans..........
That's hilarious Barbs.

It's fascinating to see several media figures jump into action defending Rossi's decision to train on MX. The real story is their need to defend him. Frankly if one has the slightest understanding of motorbike racing the question is self-explanatory if a question at all. We don't want any Rossi fans gnashing in despair, they must be 1. Comforted, 2. Educated, 3. Encouraged to stay tuned. Riders are injured every year doing all kinds of training, you don't see the sport media churning out pieces immediately (Rossi was still in hospital when Hack Oxley took to his typewriter) or gathering defensive quotes of support like Krops now, every time a rider gets injured in training. I'm surprised Hack Oxley didn’t write a piece in support and explaining why Rossi does his own interior decoration instead of hiring a designer when Rossi injured himself in a domestic decorating accident moving his curtains.

I've heard paddock rumors that there's a clause in his contract that he wear a helmet, in the bathtub.

That would be 2 helmets needed .............. and god hopes Lucy keeps the knife away while he bathes
