It's been ..... The last episode was a bit like Sepang 15 actually, ridiculous.

Welcome back buddy. You've been honestly missed.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

Yes, it has gone all Hollywood now the narrative is being run by the producers of the show, cut free from George RR's intricate and somewhat, if not completely, coherent vision. Disappointing for me who read the books as they came out.

The whole thing was based on the human drama, and as someone said on the internet a season or 2 ago once you bring magic in it detracts from the human element, to which magic wasn't greatly relevant in earlier seasons.

I still check this site from time to time, but I have far less free time these days. IRS is auditing the Rossi Fanclub so we've been busy hiding our assets.

Yeah, this season of GoT feels too rushed. Oh well... I can't stop watching until Cersei is killed.

Thanks for the welcome.

What, got yourself a wildling woman? Good for you buddy I hear they are wild in the sack.

Well, Vudu will be gracing the forum now that Rossi’s replacement has been announced.

The wildling king is joining the circus? Finally some decent competition for Crutchsnow.

I as well have been onboard since 2000.
I won't watch the last two seasons that moved past ADWD in the event he has given HBO the narrative. Im surprised when long time readers like yourself do.
After the debacle of AFFC and the contrived twists of ADWD I have no faith that the brillant world building of the first 3 novels can be adequately tied up.
IMO he was an average writer for most of his life, found quicksilver that ebbed after 3000 pages. Now he pens less than a page a day.
He's become Bronn.Wicked talent, loyalty to none, and cares only for the gold and the prestige.
As someone who reads quite a bit of fantasy, Ive always gravitated away from high fantasy, which has prevelant use of magic, talismans and dragons.
Like you said it detracts from the human element. Ironically we were attracted to GOT for its lack of those themes but the very first chapter of AGOT was undead zombies. The writing was on "The Wall"

I think it's a good thing that VR wasn't leading the championship this week. Never hear the end of how he was robbed. We would never really know the outcome had Rossi been fit to race.

Rossi's position at the time of his accident is exactly where he belonged and exactly where he would have ended up. Anything could have happened, but it would have taken literally all 3 of the riders in front of him to falter. It would have been a nightmare as you say had he been leading the points but luckily there is much proof that shows 4th is Rossi's true place in this years championship. If you believe Oxley, Rossi was reborn at Silverstone, ran a perfect race on a bike that was hooked up, yet when it came down to it, Rossi would have finished yep 4th had Marquez not blown. It was very telling that Dovi and Vinales both caught and passed Rossi without a whimper and no doubt Marquez would as well. No fight whatsoever, didn't look like a guy who was desperate for that tenth title. Looked more like a rider who is points racing and hoping to back into a title. At this point of the season and being close to 30 points down , if a win is in your grasp you pooosh very hard , you block, you use that race craft you are so famously known for , you risk throwing it down the road to win

I agree, most of his other work which is mainly science fiction is fairly average. Quite liked the relatively recent side story/prequel novellas though.

I think he is also now a victim of his own and the series' fame as far as completing "A Song of Ice and Fire" goes. Interest in the TV show became very obsessive very quickly and it is nearly impossible to google unrelated subjects without running across multiple theories about how matters will eventually transpire in AGOT. He has actually said he was forced to refrain from reading fan speculation.

I like this, "Rossi says" "I will do my best to make it happen!"

So that's a maybe then, is he wimping out :mask: :cold: feet?

Is rossi expected to make a full recovery?

Will he still be able to kick oponents as they pass him?

Ducati's aero fairing will surely be banned on safety grounds for next year.
Rossi's foot could easily get stuck inside those gaping holes....

Never thought of that ..... they are actually a safety feature. Stopping rossi induced kickings.

Method to the madness.

Well spotted :D
