I hardly think beating records per se is Vale's biggest motivation. He's always saying he likes to get out there, race the best he can and win. The records would be just a side effect of that, but they do probably give the satisfaction of knowing there's been a consistently top performance over an entire career.

I don't know what I was on about saying he won't beat Nieto's record, sorry.

i did notice tho that the ducati is still the fastest machine out of the coners did you see the way stoner was just pulling away from rossi.

Oh yes, Rossi had trouble passing Stoner but got through eventually.
But with Pedrosa he did what ever he wanted as usuall. Pedrosa accelerating through on the straights, Rossi passing him again on the brakes.
