No, one cart race - with 22. Track day you and I, and anyone else who wants to come along/join in.

Bautista and Gresini still in talks for 2013, announcement expected either before or during Japanese GP. tweeted by Azi

so redding will stay in moto2 right?

marc vds won't get a desmo with the stupid 4 bike rule anyway i guess.

its stupid the aprilia factory team aspar won't get the marelli ECU, i was really hoping for them to become a little better so they can challange the ducs regulary.

Bless you, (sorry, only just found this thread) very thoughtful and helpful indeed

If you ever want a list of who is driving where in F1 next year, I'm your woman
<

good you mention it, msc to ferrari again?
<

More likely Sauber I reckon, or retirement. Ferrari will either keep Massa or sign Hulkenberg I would say. Well you did ask. But this isn't the thread for this, you'll get us into trouble for going off topic!!

Massa to Nascar! They could start a little Brazilian enclave...

who gives a .... as long as its short, at least its still motorsport and not football/bestiality/wsbk spoilers

racing for sauber again would be a nice thing, but i hope he rather goes racing in dtm instead of going to another mid pack team.would not involve half as much traveling and being away from the family.

they use aprilia electronics at the moment and will continue to do so if they want to be the top ART team

The 'problem' with the Aprilia has been stated to be the electronics package - a small update on the WSBK unit. This is precisely the reason the Marelli unit has been obtained - for CRT teams such as Aspar, Cardion, etc.

Magneti Marelli will make its highest specification electronic control system available to all competitors, backed up by a permanent team of technicians at each tack.

The news will come as a boost for the Claiming Rules Teams, with electronics proving a major source of weakness for many CRT riders this season.

However, teams will still have the option of developing and running their own systems next year at least.

A research and development centre will be set up at Magneti Marelli's headquarters in Bologna specifically to enhance its MotoGP commitments over the next four years.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna CEO, said the deal represents a “major step” forward in the blue riband championship.

“I cannot hide the fact that I am very happy with this new co-operation with Magneti Marelli,” he said.

“The agreement reached with the Italian company merely validates MotoGP as a competition that incorporates and encourages the latest and most innovative technology.

“The experience of this company, which has spent many years at the highest level of competition in motorsport, represents a major step in the premier-class of two-wheel racing.”

Magneti Marelli's electronic control system includes an engine and chassis control unit with inboard datalogger, as well as the relevant tuning and data analysis tools, dashboard and handlebar toggle switch.

It will be provided free to any team requesting the system.

With the real likelihood that if there is a spec ECU in 2014 it will be the Marelli unit, you would have to be crazy to not take the freebie this coming season.

yup,my words.

doesn't change the fact though that apparently aspar does not want to fall out of favor with aprilia by not using their system

Where did you read that? I've looked high and low and can't find anything... not questioning your assessment, I am interested to read about it. It certainly puts a whole different complexion on the use of ECUs if Aprilia are undermining Uncle Carmelo...
