I got this back from Dorna after complaining about the lack of track time/overabundance of twerps in the media centre.

Dear Theo,

We thank you for your feedback.

The cameras switch from the track to the boxes depending on the action on track and on the interviews that are taking place.

Note that on a rainy test day there isn't much track action.

Dear Customer Support,
You must think I am as stupid as your media people, to try and give me a brushoff like that.
On innumerable occasions you have 3 or 4 bikes on the track and all we see is them go round 3 or at most 4 corners, before we are back with the idiots camping in the media centre. I find it utterly reprehensible that we have to listen to these idiots spouting off with so little relevance to what is supposed to b happening on track. For example Johann Zarco was out in the wet yet got so little coverage. I am starting to think all you care about is filling your coffers up with money and to hell with the paying public.
 
just curious, cuz i really dont know this, but most of the preseason testing ive watched during previous years are also like that, could it be that there is some sort of agreement between teams and dorna(or whoever responsible) not to have so much track time so they dont give too much info away about their bike? also beside motogp feed, do they let any broadcasting channel cover the testing with track time?
 
For us that have had video pass for years, we knew that the coverage was going to be pitiful. They draw you in to purchasing the pass with typical shady marketing schemes and half truths. You think its going to be like a race weekend with cameras everywhere and then you see what you bought and are disappointed. Its all about Dorna not wanting to spend the money to haul the equipment and personnel to operate it around the world
 
I must say after signing up to the pre-season pass, despite opting out of the renewal (happy with BT Sport) every time I log in, it prompts me again and it's very dodgy wording.

You would expect - do you want to renew, yes or no? What I get is "Renew now" or "Enable Renovation" ! You have to hit the little x to avoid the £1xx renewal. It's not what you'd expect from a reputable organisation.

I hope it gives someone a kick up the arse. BTW does anyone know who the contents team are or even TV direction.
 
I have to agree with you on this..the coverage has been pretty .......also, it's bad enough having to listen to that .... Harris without having to look at his face as well...
