Hello all,

Some thoughts on FP so far:

Stoner looked dangerous on corner entry into the faster corners, at least that's what I thought. The crash seemed to confirm this somewhat. Is the new Ducati bringing out a weakness in his style? He looked relaxed enough after the crash though, so I am confident he'll wise up quickly.

Questions regarding the exhausts: Does anyone know why Ducati have that thingy that looks like the anti-clogging thingy in my kitchen sink stuffed up their tailpipe? And do my eyes betray me or does Yamaha have a revised tailpipe?

greetings!

Hayden look'n good!

If I may help, if you speak English, reading in Spanish is quite simple… The Vowels always (always, no matter what) sound the same, and only have a single sound each. Unlike for example the word ‘Mercedes’ in English in which the ‘E’ has three different sounds. In Spanish:

“A” will always sound as ‘A’merican.
“E” will always sound as ‘E’xternal.
“I” will always sound as ‘I’nternal.
“O” will always sound as ‘O’ctopus.
“U” will always sound as ‘U’rban.

Never change those single sounds and now you can read in Spanish bro!

Speaking it and understanding is a whole different matter!

To protect the engine, remember the 6 engine rule.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. Thanks!

Thanks. I have a hard enough time understanding English as it is and have been speaking it for 48 years.

Tomorrow will shake out the players. It's good that Stoner was able to set fastest lap quickly hence not using up the engine, but binning it at the end of the session wasn't good. I'm going to say Lorenzo has more up his sleeve and we will see it tomorow. Hayden so far so good, lets just hope he makes some improvements along with the others tomorrow. Pedro...well it's his home race, I expect a big jump from him tomorrow if the new chassis is working out they way he wants . Rossi, well I expect a jump in times for him as well even though he's nursing an injury. I expect Dovi to make a big leap tomorrow, or at least I hope he does.
Spies...he will defnitely improve tomorrow, he was using this session to learn the track.
Looks to be a great race, lets get it on!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MdubSTYLIE @ Apr 30 2010, 09:01 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Imo Casey is going to have to start riding that bike more like a human if he wants to stop the tucking it. The bike doesn't step out as easy as it use too. Thats a good thing for everyone except Stoner.

And I may have spoke to soon on rossi's condition, he may be favoring his shoulder.

They did say Rossi was pointedly running practice laps without a pain killer.
He might do better when in less pain. That's always a part of sports medicine
that I have been wondering about. If they give him a local that is strong enough
to get him through an hour of racing - how much (if any) of that pain killer makes
it's way through his system and into the brain - where you clearly don't want any
fuzziness. Maybe he'll pull a rabbit out of a hat this weekend - but somehow - I
don't think it's in the books. I think it's going to be Stoner and Lorenzo up at the front
and Ross happy to be on the podium.

Stoner needs to figure a way to dial it back a notch - and still make the tires work well.
A little bit of restraint could go a long way this weekend - especially if Rossi proves to be
uncompetitive. I think Pedrosa could be the spoiler here. He loves this track.

so what happens when stoner trashes all his motors? Is he out? Can they rebuild a motor? Just saying, he better be careful not to go that route.

To add to that. Since they have two bikes a weekend how does that play nto the engine rule?

Well Nicky did say his weak point was how slow he would start the race weekend. FP and Qual are normally total crap, but his race laps were pretty on spot with the lead... Being more comfortable on the bike, and having some background set up information from last year, I think we'll see a Nicky of old back on the track... I deffinently have much higher hopes this year

Good point, Nicky has never been fast off the truck, so there is a little glimmer of hope. I just know tomorrow all the players step it up and it's up to Nick to keep them honest.
