Hayden had a small highside, it seems.
Dovizioso made it into the top 5, but Spies is very close.
Rossi will use painkillers only for quali and race, so expect him to be up there with Lorenzo and Stoner.

Just getting my picks for the race in. I'm having a hard time making predictions, which is a good thing, I guess. So this is part wishful thinking:

1. Stoner
2. Pedrosa
3. Lorenzo
4. Rossi

Stoner will in fact be more likely to settle for less than a win this time. The two Spanish guys should be strong, but may be to enthousiastic. A little patience may get Rossi a long way.

Well looking at Qatar and now this he is defo back in the game

go hayden dammmmmm if he wasnt losing time in the last sector he could try for pole awesome!!!!

All Rossi needs is a Rabbit out of the Hat's Burguess Magic! And some pain killers! Just 0.356 below Pole, so he can take 2 x 25 in a roll to start 2010! Go Rossi!

Not a bad group for Nicky to be behind of! Depuniet is also impressing this year, Andrea better get his .... together real quick because if Randy keeps it up he might find himself on the factory bike!

Wow, there are some quite unexpected things (atleast for me) in the qualifying order. Weird how Pedrosa can be THIS MUCH faster in Jerez than he was in Qatar. And Hayden is basically just as fast as Stoner...

2-3-4-5 all within a 1/10th of each other, you dont see that very often. If you look at lap analysis during practice, im sorry to say that this thing looks like a walk for Lorenzo. He has pace that no one is even close to. It looks like he ran a half race simulation and threw down lap after lap of high 139's and low 140's. Anything can happen in a race, but i dont see Pedro vying for the win, unless he has been sand bagging. Haydens race pace is no where near Lorenzo's, of course, no one else is either.

Very subtle there Sacky.

Hahaha. Honestly I couldn't remember. But yeah, I guess I'm calling him out now that you mention it.

I think we take it for granted that Spies has the daunting challenge of learning a track while competing at a high level. I read his post practice comments, and I gotta say...be afraid, be very afraid.

I`ll take that as a good omen for the Pie hopefully!

Close grids seem to be a trait of motogp at Jerez, unfortunately they are usually followed by dull races! Lets hope tomorrow is good. Lorenzo seems the most sorted of the front runners but nobody seems that settled, i think there could be surprises. Plus you can never count Rossi out.

Am i a bad person for the thought running accross my mind that Pedro & Loren, in their haste to impress the Spaniard fans, take eachother out? Then we see Nicky & Rossi battle for the race win.

Like i told my good buddies, im still holding my breath, but its now with a big ... grin.
