Good to see Melandri 10 places higher than his previous test sessions. Hopefully he can get faster and leave MRNG behind him.

Looks like were back to the D'antin Ducatis of 2004.

Small bit of info I found somewhere, if you're interested, Colin was on a Qualifier, while Casey was on a Race Tyre.

Obv the Fiat Yamahas won't be at the test.

whats the weather/track conditions been like at the island today?

(asking all the aussie members?)

any nasty cross-winds etc?

There wasn't much wind all day. I'm about 25 minutes from the circuit.
However it's PI - things can be very different at the circuit especially as it backs onto Bass straight.

Hi Trickywoos...welcome to the forum....you don't happen to know if Dovizioso and DeAngelis were on Qs or Race tyres at all?

As a stoner fan it is good to see he is physically capable of 70+ laps, and also that he is not trying to set the fastest lap every lap, although I am not sure this would apply if pedrosa was testing.

Certainly looks promising for yamaha, although as others have said last year they had a problem with fuel economy which is not necessarily apparent in testing. Toseland may be very competitive on tracks where he has experience.

Bit hard to tell what all this means, especially with the Fiat Yamahas and Pedrosa not being there. One thing for sure though, Stoner will definately be quick again this year and probably the man to beat. His shoulder would seem to be close to 100% again as well.
The kawasaki's seem disappointing as PI is a very quick track but there's still 2 days left.
Great to see the rookies shining. Could be a fantastic year.
The suzuki's aren't going great but they always struggle here - I really hope they can get it sorted as Loris and CV are probably the nicest 2 guys in the field along with JT.
It's so hard to really get a gauge of what's going on- anyway hope no one gets injured.

Edwards on Q's,De Angelis and Dovi and Nakano, not sure but would guess Q's The bottom 5 had better been on race or they are in trouble.

Edit =It appears that Edwards was the only one th throw on the Q's

I didn't know about the other race tyres. Kawasaki revealed their new livery today though, pics on crash.

James has still got huge chatter problems, esp when he's going into fast bends, which is causing him problems. Would love to see him on a chatter free bike, just to see what times he could do!
